Read all the reviews thoroughly
I had reservations about this house but it fit the needs for our family. The biggest plus about staying here is it is very large & perfect for everyone to have their space. Here's what needs attention: It seems as if the house hadn't been cleaned shortly before our visit. Nothing smelled fresh. There was a pile up of old leaves in several places on the back porch.The patio furniture looked dirty & not at all inviting. A place as large as this should have a very nice grill. Instead, it was a charcoal grill that was small & filthy. The pool table was a nice addition, however, it's surface was worn & dirty. The kitchen isn't stocked so be prepared to bring your own seasonings, foil, storage bags, etc. Despite being on overnight, the pool never was warm enough to swim in. The jacuzzi is not heated at all. I read a few comments about the dirty carpet from a couple of years ago but it seems no attention was given to it. The master bedroom carpet is disgusting with stains & not something you will want to walk on without shoes. We had an issue with the master shower backing up & did get the management company to send someone out. However, I found it odd they would not give us a phone number to speak with them (about the shower & pool) instead only communicating through email. Lighting in the backyard is sparse so we didn't use the firepit because it was extremely dark.There aren't many houses that provide this much room but given the money you will spend, go in with eyes wide open.

Excellent property
The house was immaculate clean and the property is gorgeous, the only minor detail is the amount of leaves at the terrace and pool since the area is surrounded by trees but the host took care of that the next morning. The communication with the host was excellent and in real time. All in all an excellent place to stay.

THE BEST HOME ON THE LIST

Thanksgiving weekend
We had an excellent time at this house during our stay. Unfortunately none of amenities were available such as the pool and jacuzzi amenities, however the place was clean, comfortable and pleasant.

Rodent infestation in attic
The house itself was spacious and beautiful inside. Lots of room inside and out and a great set up. Unfirtunately, the house is not well maintained. Carpets are stained and look dirty. Floors were sticky. There was a broken chair in the master that my husband almost fell out of. The worst was we had a hard time sleeping due to rodent activity in the attic. It was nonstop at night running around and making scratching noises. It was very nerve racking and a nasty feeling. The only reason we did not leave was we had several teens celebrating my son's birthday and we did not want to ruin their time. Management never even sent anyone to check the attic. There were no bathtub stoppers for either jacuzzi tub in the house and we were told to stuff a wash rag in the drain. There was mold on the cool deck around the pool. There are no pool lights in the pool. We only had dim patio lights so had to be careful. Management told us there were automatic lights that come on to light up the pool area when it gets dark. They finally came on at 930 pm after we were done swimming and went off after 30 minutes. Not the fault of homeowners or management but the first night when it was warm we could hardly stay outside due to the amount of mosquitos. The pool table felt and pool sticks need to be replaced. We do not recommend you wating your money. Very dissapointing.

This has to be the place
From the time we got there until the time we left everything was perfect. There was enough space to accomodate our annual family reunion with people ranging from 0 - 71 years of age. We enjoyed the pool, the fire pits, the back porch, the front porch, the pond and everything around it. We only had an issue with the mosquitoes that are extremely bad and big but after we treated the yard and lit some citronella candles we were good to go. There was enough space to cook eat socialize and so much more. I can not begin to explain how perfect this space is. Russell is very responsive and answered all of my questions within minutes. I will definitely be back for another stay really soon.

Book with caution
This property is in fact large but the description is misleading. Is not 7 bedrooms. It is 3 bedrooms with other rooms like closets turned to bedrooms. The “bedroom” that connects to the master has a door behind the tv that can be opened and can see straight into the master. Lack of privacy. The carpet, the carpet, the carpet… stained! Everywhere. No one walked around without shoes as the floor was that dirty. There were dead bugs along the baseboards throughout the house. Mosquitoes are TERRIBLE. I recommend a lot of off. We could not enjoy the outdoors at all even by the pool. While there a ceiling fan fell and landed on the couch, luckily no one was hit. We notified the property manager and they promptly respond however this was my wedding weekend and we asked for maintenance not to enter as we were out and had guests coming. They sent maintenance anyway. There was someone there that every day for the 3 days we were there. It was so inconvenient. The fridge was also broken. This is a nice house and a nice property but I would never book again or recommend. As much as we paid you would think the property manager would put forth a little more effort such as having the curtains on the rod and not hanging off. If you book do it with caution.

Family get away
This house is so large and so very impressive when you first walk in the door… the pool was wonderful… the one bedroom that was upstairs during the summer is extremely hot during the day, but at night does cool down so this might need mentioning in the description of the house. There were some important items missing like salt and pepper, hot pads, and a cookie sheet that were quickly addressed by the property manager. The previous renters did not take care of all trash so this created a slight ant/roach problem, which again the property manager addressed very quickly. These things do happen with a larger home and cleaning companies are trying to hurry and get the house ready for the next group of vacationers. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and recommend this property for large families. Thank you Kelly W.

Great family getaway
Las palomas is such a beautiful home! When we arrived the house was fairly clean and the outside patio as well. Communication with the host was great, helped us with anything we needed. Family enjoyed the house and the pool was such a plus so all the kids could swim.

Insane House
This house is something out of a movie. Absolutely huge and gorgeous. Felt like we were some sort of celebrity. The pool was awesome and the kitchen had some really really nice appliances. Cannot recommend enough!

An Amazing House For a Family Gathering
Highly recommend this house for any large group. There was plenty of room for everyone ! Very clean and there was something to do for everyone. With all the games in the "bunk" room and the pool table around the amazing bar there was never a dull moment. We would stay here again !

What you see is what you get
I celebrated at Las Palomas the first weekend in January and might I say my friends and I had a grand time. The property is beautiful and very clean. The property manager, Russell communication skills were superb & he accommodated all our need during the stay. I definitely book again.

Beautiful and luxurious house
We stayed for a church college and young adult retreat with 22 people. The house is beautiful with tons of space on a very quiet and nice/peaceful property. There is plenty to do and only a short drive from the beach. We had one minor issue and the host quickly resolved it for us. It was a great trip overall! We would definitely stay there again

Our group had a great experience at the property. It is truly a huge place. Everything is oversized from rooms to kitchen. We loved the peaceful environment of the front and the backyard. It was the right place for our group of 20 or so people to have a perfect getaway removed from any nearby distraction.

Office Christmas Celebration
This property is absolutely stunning. I brought my team to this property to enjoy Dickens on the Strand together. The home is very spacious and laid out well. There is so much room for a large group to enjoy. You can congregate in the common area with plenty of space to spare or you can even enjoy different areas of the home without bothering each other. Every inch of the home is gorgeous and they made to process very smooth. We are hoping to make visiting this spot an annual tradition.

Las Palomas Birthday
My family and I really enjoyed Las Palomas home. It was plenty of space for everyone to relax and enjoy the comforts of home, from the pool table, ping pong table, arcade games, TV`s or hanging on the patio in front of the fire pit. All the rooms were functional for all 20 guest. Everything was in close proximity if we needed something from stores, restaurant, etc. Overall we were really impressed with this property.

Great Home & Amenities - Repeat Renter
This is our group's second time renting this home and it is amazing! The host communicates promptly to any concerns and the home is clean upon arrival. Stunning Home
Absolutely stunning estate! Las Palomas is a one in a million kind of home! We fell in absolute love with the place just while driving up the winding, palm tree lined drive!! The home looked gorgeous online, but I thought it surely couldn't live up to my family's expectations, but boy was I wrong. Everyone from the oldest down to the youngest (3) had the time of our lives!! We love Galveston, but the home and property really made this trip special! We have already booked a return trip for next year!!

It was just okay.
The sleeping accommodations were fairly good. The bunkroom has one small bath which is challenging considering there are so many beds. The home COULD be lovely and I am sure it was at one time . But it is need of immediate maintenance, updating and replacement of outdoor furniture. Several of the guest would not get into the pool because it was pretty dirty and the color of the water looked a little green. The furniture outdoors had several broken pieces that we not usable. None of the outdoors pool lights worked at night as well as the lights leading to the front door. We did not venture to the fire pit because it was so dark and in the back of the property with no lighting. The dining room has an incredible table for a large group but 3 of the chairs are broken with springs hanging out of the bottom. The master is probably the worst as far cleanliness. The rug is off white and the dirt and wear and tear was frankly gross with some pretty nasty looking stains. The blinds are also broken in the master which is a shame since it supposedly has a great view. The floor of the whole house was also really dirty, our feet and socks were literally black from walking on it. We had a good time, because we are a close group of friends, but I chose the place and was really bummed by the lack of upkeep. As time went by, we kept encountering either something not working (TV's all had to be reset) or it was dirty or broken. Needless to say I would not recommend or rent again, unless the management company did what they should do if they are going to charge this nightly rate. I usually never write a bad review but I don't want someone to be mislead. I am just surprised none of the other reviews mentioned these obvious maintenance problems (other than the pool) . The positives are It does have great space for cooking. Lots of fridgerators, decent linens and appliances. The coffee bar is nice and they do give you coffee!

What a weekend! The pictures set a near impossibly high standard that was somehow surpassed by reality. Check in and out was simple, communication was clear, and the property is absolutely stunning. You should go!!
Beautiful property! it worked great for us. room were large and there were many areas to spread out in. The only problem we had was not enough bathrooms for a group of adults (mostly ladies). There were people working in the back of the house everyday so not privacy while we ere there. It was January so no swimming but the pool was not clean. None of those are a big deal but just things i noticed. I would stay at this property again. The location was spot on for seeing all of Galveston

Best Weekend Ever
It was the perfect property to spend time with family and close friends. The house is spacious and there is plenty to do. The kids (and a few adults) absolutely loved the game room! It was a major hit. The patio was large with ample seating and it was the perfect spot to enjoy our morning coffee next to the fire. I would definitely recommend this property for a nice, relaxing get away!

Family Vacation
We had a wonderful family vacation. The property is absolutely beautiful! We had 7 Adults, 3 3year olds, 2 5year olds, 10, 14 and 16 year old and everyone had a great time. The kitchen is a pleasure to cook in.

2021 Annual Family Vacation
House was as advertised in photos. Acreage could use some cleanup - exterior needs some refreshing - understandable with recent weather. Overall everyone had good time, communication with you was great. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

Annual beach trip
Beautiful house. We had plenty of room for my immediate family of 26! The room are huge. LOVED THE KITCHEN. Wished there had been an outdoor shower to wash off ALL the sand. Only thing I could say negative would be the lack of detail to the landscape and the pool did not get serviced like it was supposed to on Friday. Wish I could have turned on the pool lights! Overall a GREAT trip!

Beautiful property - very well equipped
This is a lovely property - very well equipped with lots to do for all ages. The accommodation was very clean and the property manager was extremely attentive. Great choice for a weekend with multiple families in Galveston.

Great home and superb property management company
The home was in good condition and the online pictures/descriptions were accurate. This is the sort of property that I would have expected for the price, and we were not disappointed. There were issues that needed dealing with and the property management company (Beach Box) was perhaps the best one that I have ever dealt with (shower head was broken, animal got into the trash, bees on exterior that turned out to be nesting in an exterior wall - they took care of those right away!) . The home was cleaned, pretty well stocked with appliances/dishes/etc and had nice updates inside like 4 brand new TVS, a couple of arcade games, foosball and a great pool table. My only substantive complaint was that the pool wasn't chemically cleaned immediately after the previous guests left and we checked in later that day (Saturday). We had to wait until Tuesday for them to come shock/chemically clean the pool. I would definitely rent again here.

Absolutely stunning home!
My family loved this property! Everything was so lovely and clean. Very comfortable beds, great pool and just a short distance from the beach. Very responsive and helpful to all questions. We will definitely be back.

Absolutely Incredible Vacation
I can't recommend this place highly enough. It's more than a house, its a family compound!! The pool, the ponds, the birdwatching and fishing, all incredible. My kids caught a few catfish on Zebco reels (we released them all), and loved their game room. The home was extremely clean at checkin, absolutely beautiful inside, and very well furnished. The drive is lined with 30 foot palms that really take your breath away as you're making your way toward the house, and the front door looks like something imported from a castle in Europe. I can't say enough about this place...if you get a chance to rent it, do it. You won't regret it.
