Check in was chaotic and very disappointing - a number of us arrived for the advertised 3.00pm check in only to be told our rooms weren't ready.
To add insult to injury we were all treated very differently; an American couple (who arrived after us) were treated to much oohing, ahhing and polite conversation before being told that they would be upgraded so that a room was available for them now.
[Strange thing is that I had a reservation for the highest grade room......]
This prompted another guy to complain and say that they should either adjust his room rate or throw in a free breakfast as the room wasn't available as advertised - he was quickly ushered away from the rest of us.
When I protested I was told that perhaps I would like a drink at the bar while I waited (at my own expense).
Eventually, I complained again and was told a room was now available.
Last to receive a room where an Arab/Somali couple who had arrived before me and a few others ......... interesting in itself!
