We stayed a couple of nights and loved it. Front desk staff were pleasant, efficient and helpful.
The hotel is very centrally located, and just a short stroll from the Old Town. That said the hotel itself was oozing character from a bygone era, albeit now tastefully equipped with all modern conveniences. We'd take one of the elevators to our room, but used to walk down the stairs to admire the architecture and ceiling.
The room itself was huge, spotlessly clean and tastefully furnished, with lots of storage. Also had TV, kettle, etc, safe, sofa and a large bathroom attached. Enormous terrace outside with table and two chairs and a view of the street, several stories below.
Despite being on the street, the room was exceptionally quiet. One time we exited our room and from the corridor could hear a baby crying in the room next to ours. While in our room we didn't hear anything.
We didn't use the restaurant in the hotel, as we went to Old Town for all our meals.
If we were returning to Genoa, would stay here again in a heartbeat.
