Welcome to The Frontier Retreat! This home has been in 1 family since it was built, it is near and dear to the owner's hearts. The home is an older home with a lot of charm!! This 3 bedroom town home is a spacious, comfortable and affordable vacation home for your visit to Northern Arizona. Located off of Lake Mary road in Southern Flagstaff and convenient to downtown and NAU. We see to every detail with a fully equipped kitchen and charming back garden to enjoy the beautiful Flagstaff weather. Our town home is professionally managed by Tim Allen, West USA Realty Flagstaff.

Enjoy the nearby mountains and forest right in the backyard. A plethora of accessible hiking and mountain biking trails lay just minutes beyond the front door.

There are 3 bedrooms and 2 hallway bathrooms in this home. Two rooms have a Queen bed and the third has two twins. There is a roll away twin bed for additional sleeping flexibility.

This home is the family home of the Bojorquez family, rich in Flagstaff history. Black and white family photos hang in the hallway and they are happy to share their family history with guests.

There is a one car garage available for guests.
Important to note that this home has spotty cell service. Flagstaff is best served by Verizon Wireless. If you have another cell phone provider you may not be able to get any cell service at this home.

Other things to note: This home is fully furnished and stocked with essentials to get you started on your trip! Please plan accordingly to purchase enough paper products to last for the duration of your stay.

Absolutely no smoking on premises. If cigarettes are found on the property or cleaners detect smoke in the home there will be an automatic $350 charge.

Rental Agreement must be signed after booking is complete - please reach out if you would like to see the Rental Agreement prior to booking the home.

Please let us know at the time of booking if you will need a Pack N Play for your stay.

Bi-Weekly groundskeeping is performed at this home the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month.

Guys Trip 2024
This was definitely something different then what we usually do for a trip. Such a quaint warm atmosphere l, the guys were more excited about the theme of the house then expected. I enjoyed being close enough to a hiking trail near by and just minutes from downtown Flagstaff! We drive to the Grand Canyon and spent the day there. Everything about this trip was overwhelming breathtaking, from the view of the mountain peaks while driving/hiking, to the many sights of wild life during the drive. This is definitely one for the books.

A good location close to town. Everything was a stated but the wifi was weak. That didn't matter much since the satellite on my phone still worked. The style was a great reminder of when homes were built well with real wood. I would stay here again.

This home was a great "base camp" for our Flagstaff adventures. The property was clean and accurate to the listing. The mismatched kitchen supplies and dated furnishings made it feel like a stay at grandma's house, in the best way. We especially appreciated the binoculars left in a cabinet, as we forgot ours.

Central location. Easy freeway access. Plenty of restaurants, shopping and amenities within short drive. Home is a comfortable and cozy style cabin. Amazing bathrooms/toiletries. Very outdated
I liked the location, however, everything is extremely outdated and felt like 50 years ago. There were a lot of little trinkets and breakables and just things that kids could get into and potentially mess around with to where you would have to pay more for your stay. I think that all the clutter should be gone, since it does not get used anyway. Also, in the kitchen, there is no garbage disposal, and that makes things extremely difficult to cook and survive with a Family that is always eating. The sinks kept getting clogged, even with simple water running down. The utensils were extremely sparse, outdated, almost unusable. The beds were also extremely uncomfortable, and felt like sleeping on a cardboard piece. I would definitely look for another property if I came up to stay again.

old school cottage
We chose this property based on the pictures and description. It's about a 5 minute drive to downtown Flagstaff. Updated bathrooms, retro kitchen, comfortable beds, full laundry. The curtains were drawn when we arrived late afternoon, which made it VERY dark inside. A little shocking based on the fully lit pictures. Understandable, though, because there are large windows but close neighbors. We did have an issue with the internet the first night and called the service office. It was fixed the next day. The front door latch needs repair. It only stays shut when locked. It did not affect our stay, just a note to owner. It was a convenient place to stay and cook breakfast and dinner while vacationing. Thank you.

A great place to get away from it all. The place is older, but comfortable. Bathrooms updated and beds nice. A little like being back in time. Did not have cell service but was able to use WiFi most of the time. Steps away from amazing hiking trails. The photos accurately depict the place and I would book it again. Nice host.

This property was in a great location...quiet neighborhood yet close to town. The place was clean and comfortable and was adequate for our family of 6. The two bathrooms were updated and very nice. Other parts of the home were a little outdated decor wise, but we didn't have any problems. The lighting in the dining area was a little dim. Overall though, it was a great place to stay.

Nice older home with lots of room & all the necessities you need. Great location for us. The big weeds in the front yard caused us to pass the home up initially. Some of the weeds in the backyard were as high as the table so we didn't hang out back there like we thought we would. The rental team indicated it's been a hard year to upkeep the grounds but they're hiring more help. Will definitely stay here again but would likely ask if the yard is up to par first.

My family stayed here for almost a week. Perfect get away to decompress from the busy Phoenix life and the heat. House was very clean. Pots and pans in the kitchen needed extra cleaning and the property manager confirmed it will be taken care of immediately. No dishwasher and it is no big deal. Conveniently located for outdoor activities like Walnut Canyon, Snowbowl, NAU campus and downtown restaurants. Katie, the property manager was very helpful and responded to questions quickly. we will definitely consider staying here again.

The location just off national forest was perfect to keep kids entertained while socially distanced. We sledded and went to a nearby park. The house is well stocked and feels like you are staying in someone's comfortable home. The hot water heater was turned super hot, which meant hot water fast, but definitely take caution with little kids.
