Reserved 2 months in advance of granddaughter’s ECU graduation. Received a call at 7:08am morning of check in stating they had canceled their contract with Expedia and couldn’t honor my reservation. No rooms available but they wouldn’t know for sure until 11:00 am and would contact me. Needless to say I immediately got in touch with another hotel and secured a room. Never heard back from Motel 6 until another rep called me at 9pm that night asking if I was coming to check in.

The motel employee called us at 7:30 am on the day we were traveling to inform us that our reservations were cancelled. They said they no longer had a contract with Expedia and could not honor those reservations.

My reservation had been mysteriously canceled when I arrived to check in. I was informed by the front desk staff, that they did not work with Expedia, even though I booked the reservation through Expedia. There was no cold running water in the room, only hot. And the front door would not lock. The manager used his key to lock the door, and I had to get home at 3:00 to unlock it. Very beat up furniture and bathroom. Would not book this motel again.

Upon arrival I was told by Mgmt. that I had not paid and needed to pay with cash. I showed her the receipt and after 30 minutes of back and forth she gave us the key to the room. We checked in then she called me back to the office telling me she needs me to pay again. I said I already paid here is the receipt, the money is gone. I had just driven 7 hours and wanted to relax and feed the kids. I s/w Expedia and they said everything is fine. Then she asked to speak to me again. Wanted cash and said she had canceled our room? I said I had just gotten off the phone with Expedia and they said all is fine not canceled. She told me I canna stay for free then started screaming at me. I tried to talk but she kept yelling so I slapped the key back on the counter and said fine, we are leaving. They followed me out and started banging on the door while we packed. I said no you’ve scared my kids and threatened me so we are done. We left immediately while they began asking us to stay. Will never stay at Motel 6 again and may never use Expedia either.

Upgrades are overdue
Poor reviews of the place, many spoke of bed bugs, poor setting and bedding conditions. Labor day weekend, so I booked online before checking reviews. Had to book sonething as options and rooms were becoming less vacant. I sat in the room looking for another hotel to rent a room, 25 minutes from Uptown, I brought my key back to the office after moving my things out of the room, telling clerk, I wasnt satisfied with the conditions.

Exactly what I paid for. I knew with the price it would be outdated. Only issue I had was when I checked in and out I had to use the night window. Not enough towels or toilet paper in the room but these were taken care of immediately. I would stay again but would not bring the family

Run down hotel that they just poorly repaint and smells like mildew, sketchy group of people in the back hanging around when we showed up . There was a A pregnancy test strip laying on the ground in the parking area just out side the door , when I was checking in there was a man leaving after checking in for a better hotel choice . The town had a college foot ball game so all other hotels was booked so moving for us was not a choice

Clean, friendly staff. Non-smoking room smelled smokie. Guedt 3 doors down we re noisy day and night.

Room was sparse.Bed spread was stained and did not look clean, bed was lumpy. TV was tiny. Loud music in the parking lot til late in the evening. Price was low but there are better places to stay on a budget.
