Panoramic views!
This is an outstanding hotel with panoramic views, large rooms and beautiful grounds. It is spotless and each room has a unique charm decorated in antique furnishings and Spanish decor. The staff is friendly and helpful and go out of their way to be of service. It's not in the center of town but a cab ride is only 50MXN. I would stay there again.

Too Far from center, terrible neighborhood.
We had a hard time finding this hotel because they changed their name. They are located too far up on the hills. It is NOT centrally located as they say on their website! They do not have a functioning restaurant. The neighborhood is scary! We did not end up staying here. The only good thing I could say is that the manager did help us find another hotel centrally located.

I do not recommend this hotel. Reservation says include full breakfast, but in actual it is just continental breakfast (orange juce, coffee, pan). If you want to eat omlet or pancake it required cost. Basically it takes 100pesos per peraon even it says include "full" breakfast. Pancake tast is terrible bad, it should be reconsider. Room is old fashion and interesting, but cleanness is not good. My room has hair dust ball and pillor is broked inside wool comes out. There is no hair dryer. View from roomis wonderful, you can see socaro from the room. Hotel place is difficult to find, hotel hp should have good map how to arrive. and Expedia address map is wrong place, it should be corrected. We took more than 1hour to find hotel. Near hotel all the night dogs were shouting , it makes me difficult to sleep.

Chocolate nice view, good service and affordable $
Hotel with a nice view unfortunately far from the city center and the main attractions, not easy to get there. Clean rooms with comfortable beds. The hotel offers tour packages to visit the main attractions and tour operator picks you up from the hotel. The hotel counts with a chauffeur that offers transfer back to the hotel from the city center until 11:30 pm. Overall good service but restaurant was not good. I recommend the hotel for a family trip.

Hotel muy agradable con vista a Guanajuato
El Hotel tiene un gran diseño de interiores, puedes aprovechar el jardín para fiestas aunado a que se tiene una gran vista de Guanajuato, el personal que trabaja tienen un alto nivel de calidad de atención y dedicación para que hacerte sentir cómodo y que no te falte nada, las habitaciones están limpias amplias y con los diferentes diseños no te dan ganas de salir del hotel, definitivamente un lugar muy recomendable para descansar dado que es muy tranquilo no se escucha dado que las habitaciones están separadas unas de otras. Hace falta ingresen más alimentos a la carta.

Perdí mi dinero, llegamos al hotel en la noche, estaba cerrado y s pesar que timbramos, golpeamos la reja y gritamos nunca nos abrieron, posteriormente escribí al hotel y sin embargo no me devolvieron mi dinero argumentando que si estaba abierto, pero tengo testimonio del taxista y un huésped del hotel que asomo a la ventana. NO RECOMIENDO A NADIE RESERVAR EN ESTA CADENA

Es un hotel muy bonito y original, con un excelente personal. El único problema real es la ubicación del mismo, se encuentra hasta arriba de un cerro y esto dificulta los traslados, pero el hotel ofrece servicio de transporte gratuito al centro, que a veces no es muy rápido y eficiente.

Para alejarse comodamente
La vista del hotel es muy bonita, igual las instalaciones; si bien es complicado dar con él si viajas en coche por primera vez, después de eso es facilísimo llegar. Aparenta estar retirado, sin embargo, en aproximadamente 6 o 7 minutos llegas al centro; al estar elevado se convierte en un mirador excelente. Lo mejor es que tiene estacionamiento, algo difícil de conseguir en Guanajuato. Puedes dejar tu coche ahí y cuentan con transporte para llevarte al centro, o bien, si asistirás a un lugar específico, el personal del hotal te pide el taxi y si lo deseas, ellos te lo envían a recogerte (tú lo pagas, claro, pero no son nada caros). El agua caliente, las habitaciones bastante amplias y el área verde amplia y cómoda. Les sugeriría instalar señalamientos que guíen al turista para que sea más sencillo dar con el lugar, y que las almohadas sean más acolchadas (pero están bien) Lo recomiendo.

Excelente instalaciones, vista, servicio, comodidad, transporte del hotel, el unico tema es la distancia que es un poco retirado del centro pero con el servicio de transporte del hotel llegas en 10 min al centro y el circuito funciona todo el dia. Mi sugerencia para la comodidad de los turistas es que no haya cobro de comision por pago con tarjeta, ya que es muy caro que se cobre el 18% y nos forza a cargar efectivo.

Mucho que mejorar Hotel Boutique Chocolate Mellado
El servicio del personal es excelente:muy buena disposición,muy buena voluntad y de manera muy agradable.El inmueble es muy bonito,está ubicado en una zona muy alejada del centro,que por cierto es muy diferente a la que aparece en internet,que lo ubican cerca de la Universidad de Guanajuato.Existen muchas cosas que se pueden mejorar, sobre todo para que el hotel pueda ofrecer y merecer el concepto "Boutique",que incluye no solamente un buen inmueble y pocas habitaciones,sino excelencia en el servicio y las comodidades. La habitación que nos asignaron fue muy amplia (Tuza),sin embargo fueron varias las situaciones que la hacen muy incomoda.EL BAÑO: dentro de esta área se ubica el wc, el closet (ropero),el lavabo y la bañera,todo sin privacidad en un mismo espacio;la bañera no tiene cancel por lo que el agua sale de esa área y entra mucho frío,no tiene ni una sola repisa o algo parecido en donde colocar los utensilios de baño (jabón, shampoo, etc.) por lo que se tienen que dejar en el piso,la regadera tenía un incipiente chorro de agua y saliendo en todas direcciones (menos en la que debería salir).EL CLOSET:un pequeño ropero ubicado dentro del área del baño;en toda la habitación solo existe un espejo pequeño de pared y también dentro del baño.EL RESTAURANTE: solo abre para desayunos hasta mediodía y despues nada más ofrece el hotel en alimentos. Debe mejorar porque existen ofertas de hoteles reconocidos a precios similares.

Especifiquen que hotel chocolate es por que hay 3
Me agrado mucho la estancia en la habitación, la limpieza y comodidad son muy buenas, solo tuve un inconveniente, no aparecía registrado al llegar, pero la confianza del hotel en asegurar mi estadía con ellos, me hizo sentir seguro. Me gustaría que solo mejorara en unos aspecto, estaría muy bien que agregaran un toque de modernidad, tal como pantalla en la habitación, las ventanas y puertas un poco mas reforzadas contra el ruido, aveces podía escuchar muy de cerca el teléfono del lobby... y a pesar de que la regadera es muy amplia y con muy buena presión y temperatura en el agua, agregarle una regadera extra le daría un toque mas moderno e interactivo, si se va en pareja, así como también una puerta de vidrio que separe la parte del lavamanos del inodoro, fuera de ello, tiene muy linda vista, no hay ruidos que quiten el sueño, y la amabilidad de las personas que atienden te hacen sentir muy agusto en el hotel chocolate boutique (conocido por los taxistas como hotel de mellado).
