You need to have your expectations in the right place. This is an extremely isolated island -- one of the most remote places in the world -- so obtaining building supplies and such is a challenge, so most places are behind on maintenance when compared to other locations around the globe. Just accept this as part of the experience or this is not the right destination for you."
