The hotel has wonderful service because of their friendly and competent staff. The room was clean and the bed very comfortable. No hard beds here. The buffet breakfast with optional cooked to order eggs, great selection of Vietnamese and Western food options, good selection of seasonal fruit. In addition the location is excellent - close to the lake, shopping, etc. I would highly recommend it.

Absolutely charming quaint hotel with excellent customer service. All the staff are incredibly helpful and pleasant. Nice rooms, a bit small as would be expected for the old quarter. Great location and the breakfast is among the best meals that you will eat. Stunning rooftop bar with delicious cocktails and welcoming staff. I highly recommend.

The staff were exceptional at this hotel, very friendly and helpful. They organised my tour to Ha Long Bay too. Upon check in they knew I was vegetarian (mentioned on my tour booking) and provided me with a list of nearby vegetarian restaurants which was really helpful. Before I set off on the day tour of Ha Long bay they gave me a bag with water and fruit for the journey ahead. Small things but make such a difference. The roof top bar was nice and spacious and the breakfast was good, with western and local options. The shower in the bathroom was a bit small but I didn’t mind as the location was excellent. This hotel was recommended to me through a friend and I will certainly recommend it to others.

The staff Ryan, Hannah and Henry were great and proactive. Resolved issue fast with finesse. Our stay was made memorable because of this hotel and their staff. Breakfast spread was amazing, too. Thank you and we will return when visit Hanoi again.

Best hotel we stayed in Vietnam. There is no swimming pool but restaurant and breakfast are much higher quality and we didn’t really use the swimming pool facility in the other hotels. the area is really good as well as it’s the old quarter and two min from the lake. Skybar has good selection of drinks including spritz, while the other 4 and 5 star hotels we visited gad quite a poor selection

Hannah was brilliant, as were the other staff members. They went over and above to make sure we had an amazing stay. The food was scrumptious at both restaurants and the room was huge and beautiful - I went to the Shangri-la the next day and thought I was walking into a Premier Inn after staying at the Soleria. I enjoyed the roof top live bands in the evening and it’s a 7min walk to the water puppet theatre with little feet. Tucked away from the hustle of the city, it’s a little sanctuary that’s still in the very heart of the Old Quarter. Would recommend!

An excellent experience from start to finish. All staff were warm, welcoming, and so helpful from the minute we arrived to the minute we left. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was so delicious with many many options. Great location near the lake and close to many attractions in Hanoi. Would love to go back.

The staff were exceptional. Liam and Ryan were awesome looking after our family organising day trips. The staff at Mia's restaurant and and breakfast were some of the best service providers I have come across anywhere in the world. The rooms were nice and great location. The only things that let the hotel down were the fridges were poor, the noise on a Sat night and no pool.

Great position ln old area,close to lake, shopping and dining.Mia's attached to hotel lovely restaurant with great staff.Hotel has a nice rooftop bar and breakfast top notch. Best thing about the Solaria is the front staff, helpful, cheerful nothing to much trouble.Highly recommended.

Solaria is a beautiful hotel! The room was immaculate and the bed super comfortable. Very nice shower, toiletries and closet space. The breakfast is delicious! We've been travelijg all over Vietnam and stayed at different properties, but we feel Solaria offered the best breakfast. Good rooftop bar and restaurant on the ground floor. Very walkable area, conveniently located in the middle of several attractions. Coffeeshops, bars, and restaurants everywhere. Most impressive was customer service. Mr. Liam helped us to coordinate transportation and a tour to Halong Bay, offered recommendations, and overall made us feel very welcome at Solaria. We'd absolutely return!

The hotel was in a great location and the team was super helpful and welcoming. The hotel is older as is Hanoi. I would suggest some touch up paint in places, lamp shades could use a clean and the shower needs to drain a little faster to keep up with the great water pressure. Our stay was great and the price very reasonable. The room was comfortable and peaceful to sleep it. I would return and stay again. I can not express how accommodating, helpful and welcoming the team was. The restaurant for dinner was a beautiful experience. The breakfast selection was a great selection, fresh squeezed juice, buffet selection the Marriott could learn from and a la carte menu choice, all part for the all inclusive breakfast.

The location was very good. The staff was friendly and helpful. Room was average size…a little different floor plan. The breakfast was excellent. Overall a very nice stay. Price on Expedia was good.

Great stay at Solaria Hotel!
Our room was very spacious, clean and the decor was pretty and well done. We had a higher level room with a view which I recommend. Our meal in the restaurant was very good and service was great! The service levels from the moment we walked into the hotel until we left was top notch. They were attentive and also arranged transportation back to the ship. Rooftop bar was also nice. Great value!

From the moment we sent an email to Solaria Hotel Hanoi, Liam replied to us effectively and gave us recommendations. His professionalism and efficiency is very remarkable. We were at Room 401 (then Room 701) facing the front street which is busy but still quiet compared to the other streets. The hotel room is very clean and the washroom is spacious enough for us two. Toilet has a bidet which is a plus! Hotel buffet breakfast is located at the 8th floor with different Vietnamese and western food. Eddie and the restaurant staff were very helpful! You can also order a-la-carte with many delectable options! I highly recommend their mini Vietnamese fresh spring rolls, their freshly baked pastries and French-toast (though I wish they have maple syrup instead of honey and chocolate) and of course all the pho’s in the menu. The breakfast also offers fruit drinks and sliced tropical fruits to enjoy. The hotel has a rooftop bar too! The location of the hotel is walking distance to every shops, cafes, restaurants in old French quarters. It’s near the lake (one block) and easy walk going to St. Joseph Cathedral. Walking around, you can find many trees along the side walk which added to the beauty of the Hanoi! You can find many shops, stores and restaurants nearby. amazing location and i highly recommend to any one coming to Hanoi!

Excellent hotel in Hanoi. Great restaurant downstairs and their food was delicious. The staff at Solaria hotel go above and beyond for you. The hotel is clean and the location is convenient to a lot of markets, stores and restaurants. When we checked out, we received a good bye gift from the hotel and it was one of my favorite things to bring back home to NYC. Highly recommend !

Outstanding hotel. Perfect location. On a “quiet” street right around the corner from all the action of the old quarter. Room was clean & comfortable. We had a standing balcony overlooking the front street. Best of all were the helpful and cheerful staff. Every single staff member went out of their way to be helpful, from booking transportation, and tours for us (thank you, Mr. Liam), giving advice on sightseeing (thank you, Mr. Eddy and Mr. Matt) escorting us to the train station, and helping us find our berth, setting up our Sim cards, and, getting us a room to shower in even though we had already checked out after we came back from our train journey to pick up our luggage that was stored there. Absolutely unbelievable service. We would definitely recommend and would love to return.

We had a great experience during our stay at Solaria! The staff were super helpful and friendly. They went above and beyond expectations. This hotel might have the best hotel staff I've ever stayed with and the location is perfect for anyone who wants to experience downtown Hanoi. The rooftop bar was cool too.
