    Pocket Guide: Vietnam

Vietnam is graced with breathtaking national parks, a ravishing coastline, dynamic cities, verdant mountains, and a vibrant culture that makes it a true delight for travelers to discover.

Most visitors start their trip by booking Vietnam hotels in Hanoi, the capital city that blends the history and chicness of old Asia with a new dynamic face. The city is quickly evolving, but you can still get a great sense of the Vietnamese identity in the tangled webs of streets. There is plenty to see in Hanoi, including the Parisian-inspired architecture in the French Quarter and Old Quarter, the wondrous Temple of Literature, and the Mausoleum of Ho Chi Minh.

The city is very affordable compared to other major urban metropolises in Asia, and you can find many cheap hotel deals in Vietnam that offer rooms at reasonable rates. That same affordability also extends to restaurants, and you can feast on delectable dishes like pho, sizzling cha ca, crispy banh xeo, and garlicky rau muong for low prices at some of the top restaurants in the country.

Outside of Hanoi, some of the best hotels in Vietnam are located in Ho Chi Minh City, once known as Saigon. Today, it is the country's largest and most capitalist city, but it also played an essential role in the fight for independence. This importance is reflected in sites like the War Remnants Museum and Reunification Palace.

Book special Vietnam hotel deals in Ho Chi Minh City so that you have more to spend at the bustling Ben Thanh Market. Since the 17th century, the market has been the place to go for people watching and finding great deals on artisan crafts, textiles, and clothing. Don't be afraid to haggle – you may just get a special discount on the handmade wares.

Tourism is slowly growing in the highland town of Bac Ha, making it a great place to book a cheap Vietnam hotel deal and escape the tourist crowds that sometimes choke Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi. Far calmer than the larger cities, Bac Ha is known for its weekend markets, outlandish Vua Meo palace, and traditional restaurants that serve up tall glasses of the local moonshine.

Find Vietnam hotel packages and make reservations at a hotel in the Mekong Delta to experience some of the most lush and charming environments in Vietnam. Quaint towns dot the riverbanks, floating markets wind down the waters, the local orchards drip with exotic fruits, and white-sand beaches and impressive Khmer pagodas are just a short drive away.

    "Location Excellent"
This hotel is located in an office building skyscraper... Hotel starts on 24th floor reception, restaurants, etc... Entrance to the building is separate from offices and has excellent 24 hour security and bellhops... Only negative thing I could say is the need to use one lift from the ground entrance to the 24th reception, then have to use second lift for all the rooms, pool, etc... Other than that, it is a great place... Staff would stop in hallways or anywhere, smile, say hello, and allow us to pass before they proceed... All staff always smiling and very helpful... Our housekeeping staff was very good at making the room seem new everyday... Always came for turn down service... My girlfriend was able to learn how to do Origami from the teaching packet they put on our pillows each night... The signature swimming pool is absolutely wonderful... Infinity edge seems you will go over and fall 25 stories... No need to explain the great view of Bangkok, sipping cocktails and nibbling on snacks while relaxing in the pool... Location is great... If you want the BTS, (elevated train), it is 50 meters away... Taxi's are easy... We walked one time to the Siam Paragon Mall... Took about 15 minutes but it was hot that day... The street market vendors are just 200 meter walk and we went at night so was cooler... The bar street area is about 300 meters with many cafe' style bars...

    "Lovely position on West Lake."
We spent two weeks in the hotel and they upgraded us free of charge to a lovely room in one of the pavilions on the lake. It was a big room with a balcony and it was very peaceful. The staff were all charming and helpful and made our stay really comfortable.

"Good hotel in the old quarter of Hanoi"
Excellent service. They welcomed us with fruit smoothies. The rooms are not large; but adequate. Everything in good repair. The big plus is the location, convenient to the attractions in the old quarter. I would be glad to stay there again.

    "Great stay!"
Clean room, great facilities and awesome breakfast! Staff were helpful and lots of tasty free tea. Tour desk was a bit pricey and shifty for me I think it's a different company though.. When I was trying to book a train I was told the one I wanted was sold out so I had to buy a private car ticket for quadruple the price but when I went to the train station myself I got a ticket no problem.

"Everything about this resort is wonderful!"
We have just stayed @ Sunrise Hoi An for 10 days for a totally relaxing & restful holiday. We have stayed in many beach resorts in Asia & this one would have to be one of the best. The staff are just brilliant, so helpful & friendly & used our christian names whenever they saw us throughout our stay. The suite that we stayed in for the first 5 days was beautiful - clean, comfortable & very roomy with a fantastic ocean view. The deluxe ocean view room which we moved to for the remainder of our stay was slightly smaller but just as pleasing. The food @ the resort restaurants is exceptional & the setting for the Sao Bein vietnamese restaurant is particularly beautiful! Breakfast is outstanding with everything conceivable on the buffet. The gardens are just exquisite with a wonderful tranquil feeling. The free shuttle bus to the ancient town of Hoi An is just excellent & the journey is only about 15mins, so the location of the resort is perfect. We would love to return as soon as we can.
