Lovely Lake Cottage
Secluded, gated property with many opportunities to enjoy the nature of Florida, lakes, birds, farm animals, Spanish moss, live oaks and Magnolia Trees! Beautiful lake view from kitchen, porch, and deck. Biking trails nearby, close towns with wonderful restaurants and lake activities!!! Coordinator responded to every question we had, made suggestions for places to visit and took care of our every need!!! Very relaxing vacation!

Never received info To check in. Requested info in the morning, never received it. Had to call for it after check in time, then was told that someone tried to check in under my name already and didn't even seem to know who I was because she called me Ava which is not my name. The whole process was quit unsettling. I was made to verify my identity over and over and then still couldn't get the proper info to check in. Kept telling me " someone spammed you". I don't know what that meant. After that whole nightmare of Getting through the entrance gait was over the family emerged. Once inside the compound all eyes are on you. If you like to be watched every step you take, then this is the place for you. Take a video of the entire property unpon arrival so it is time stamped for before you use anything because if anything is screwed up they will blame you. We were accused of damaging their fireplace and asked how they were supposed to fix it. Thank goodness for my video evidence. Either way, we came home from out trip feeling quit awful. We pride our selves on taking good care and leaving every rental we use the way we find it. The cabin was nice, but felt very over monitored. The owner even admitted that the "care taker" saw my husband chopping wood. Creepy, never again. We just purchased property in the area and will be frequently staying at vrbo and air b&b, but not this one. Good luck all

Kathleen, I am sorry you felt this vast estate was a compound. How sad. You have an experience, unfortunately, none of our guests have expressed, other than great. "Eyes" are only the workers, i.e. groundskeepers, caretakers, etc. The caretaker didn't know who the person was chopping wood, if it was the lawn service, the owner or the son, or you. And, most importantly, you were never accused of anything whatsoever, but simply asked if you knew how or when the fireplace damage happened so I could figure out how to fix it. I'm sorry you felt so insulted. I didn't respond for a day as I never got the response and reached out to VRBO as I was not getting updates on my devices. They have since rectified that situation. Hoping you have a blessed day.

Great getaway
Nice central location for exploring Florida’s nature coast. Property exceeded our expectations and offered awesome sunrises and beautiful views. Enjoyed watching the cranes hatch their babies! Owner and property manager are very easy to communicate with and offered recommendations of the area. Would certainly return to this property.

Beautiful cottage Beautiful lake
This was just what I needed. A quiet place surrounded by nature. Great place to relax and enjoy friends. My daughter and I were visiting friends in the area. This spot was so nice we had our friends come over and spend the day with us. My service dog throughly enjoyed sniffing around in the fenced yard behind the cottage. And she loved going between the yard and the screened in area.

The cottage was lovely, just as pictured. Communinaction around directions and check in was poor. Required VRBO to step in. Plumbing was an issue, and communication around how that might effect getting to the property one night was non existent. Resulted in me being stuck in the driveway as it was blocked. Family member who was supposed to help, was quite irritated and defensive for some reason. Bathroom sink and toilet both had issues as well. Unfortunate, but left a day early as a result.

Liza, All homes have an issue at one point or another, some of which are completely out of our hands and we are very prompt, quite immediately, to repair any and all issues. Unfortunately, I was not advised about a water main issue in the road to let you know, but, in fact when you called I immediately called to find out what was wrong and indeed there was a tractor in the road but they made sure the home was reachable by just driving to the side of it so you were not "stuck in the driveway." As soon as you told me about the toilet and sink, I addressed this as well and this was a mechanical/electrical issue with the equipment installed by the city. Sorry you felt compelled to leave as I did everything to rectify any issue you had. Unfortunately, sometimes, things are out of anyone's control and need to embraced and and find solutions. Hoping you have a blessed day.

A Wonderful Week! 🎄
We arrived during Florida's coldest weather in 30 years! We were delighted to find the brand new fire pit and load of firewood all ready to go. There was a little communication trouble, but Sheri was quick to respond (on Christmas eve no less) and we worked it out. Once inside everything was charming and cozy and clean. This cabin has a rustic appearance from the outside but the inside is all quite modernized while displaying some well chosen antique furniture. Outside you'll sit under spectacular old oaks with swinging moss while enjoying the shade and the tranquil view of marsh and lake. We all kayaked (brought our own), caught fish, and then ate too many marshmallows at that lovely fire ring. So nice. For us it was a wonderful week-long getaway close to home.
