Great location!
This property was perfect for me and my husband. It’s all about the location. The bed Was very comfortable and the view amazing. Although small it was all we needed for a few relaxing days at the beach. Just across the street from dining and shopping and an easy walk to the pool and beach.

Wonderful!
Jennifer made reserving & checking-in more than pleasant. The unit was clean, beautiful and fully stocked. We celebrated our anniversary watching the ocean from the balcony and when it got a little chilly, straight from the couch. The bed was very comfortable. There were beach chairs, all needed kitchen utensils and a starter pack of kitchen and bathroom necessities. The only problem with leaving this review is worrying that it will be rented when we want to come visit in the future. Thanks again Jennifer. We had a lovely time and hope to return again soon.

It would appear the floors hadn't been cleaned in a while. When we arrived, there was a 1/3 of a leftover joint (marijuana) on the floor. We thought, ok, so someone just missed it but after walking barefoot on the floor, my feet felt gross. I started wearing socks and now the bottoms of my socks are black. I know the flooring type covers the dirt but once in a while, it should still be mopped.

Hi Karen, I go by my unit after almost every cleaning, and it smells amazing and the floors are still damp. They definitely mop it every cleaning. Unfortunately, I think what is happening is the grout is failing and it is the dark grout that is coming out as traffic happens. I have a flooring person coming out to redo my grout this winter. Thank you for letting me know.

The property met all my expectations ….. great view of the ocean, proximity to the water and other nearby places of interest, very comfortable / convenient furnishings, and an extremely responsive & friendly hostess who answered any questions I had previous to check in. I’ll definitely recommend this rental to others.

Perfect for couples
The size of the unit and amenities were perfect for my husband and I. It was very clean. Seems like previous guests were not sure how to use the blinds so there were a few missing. Didn’t bother us at all (more worried about the light with the sea turtles). But the location couldn’t be better for what we wanted. We walked to Piggly Wiggly, shopping, restaurants, and the public tennis courts a few miles away. We didn’t have to move the car all week. The view was amazing. We saw plenty of dolphins from the patio. We had such an amazing time. We would absolutely stay here again.

You have everything you need. We did not cook here,but you can. We had things we could eat in paper bowls or plates and used plastic silverware. But you have everything you need to cook a full meal and dessert if you want. Loved the king size bed. You have washer and dryer, always check the lint trap in the dryer, because many people never do. This is the third time we have stayed here in different condos always at Breakers.Just relax and enjoy your time here.

Unit was clean. However, the furniture appeared to come from a yard sale or Goodwill. We like to cook. Provisions for baking were limited to a small combination microwave /convection oven. Blinds were broken and barely functional. TV was extremely limited to 3 major networks and a bunch of old movies. Lighting in living area was extremely poor. Overhead light on opposite side from table and chairs always cast shadows on table making it very difficult to read or do anything on the table. Overpriced because of things listed above

Hello Edwin. I’m sorry you felt that way. I have never had anyone complain about the furnishings. Prior to your stay we just replaced the duvets which I do every year. I rotate them every cleaning so that it’s a fresh new set. The blinds are standard vertical blinds and the reason they get broke is because people don’t understand to turn the rod and open them prior to sliding them open. It is part of regular maintenance that I replace the broken ones. The cable service is a common service provided to the whole complex through spectrum. Again, I have never had any complaints. Both of my large screen TVs are smart TVs. Also, it is clear in my description that I do not have a regular oven. It is not meant to be presented as a gourmet kitchen. My condo is small, but it is all about the view and the location. My bed is very comfortable and the linens are high end. Please checkout all my positive reviews.

Location!

All you need is here. Everything works and the owner is so kind and responsive. The security man Josh is incredibly happy, helpful and friendly. Close to great places to eat drink and shop. Eat at The Earle of Sandwich across the street. Cozy and fun and great food.

The property did not fall short to expectations. A good amount complained about the Wifi, but a new system was installed before we arrived and it was fabulous. Location - could not be better....short walk to beach, nice to sit on balcony in the morning to look at ocean/beach, and dinner/Coligny was across the street....we literally did not use our car after we parked it. Jennifer (contact) was outstanding and responsive. If I were picky, a couple light bulbs did not work, but that is picky. We enjoyed our first vacation to Hilton Head and would return.

Great location
We gave this propery a 5-star rating for the location, access to the beach, walking distance to shops and restaurants and the view from the balcony. The condo was small but nice. It was the perfect size for 2 adults. The kitchen lacked a few essentials (there were only 3 bowls and 4 spoons) but everything else was provided. Our only complaint was that the internet was frustratingly slow so we restorted to using our phone hotspots.

I was very surprised about a manager call her name is Jennifer Farmer by saying that I left the place dirty she wanted me to do housekeeper job while I am supposed to enjoy my time there not to clean and do what I am not supposed to do. And they charged me extra 😒. So sad about this. I am always getting luxury hotels and never had such as a call from them. Shame on you. The thing is the place was already not that clean and has bugs. My kids have rush in their arms and legs but we don't want to complain about it everything was not even good as their price. But even though I left the place clean with no damage so she can give such as call like that.

Great view, not for kids, needs a lot of updates and TLC
So first off, the view was amazing! Also, the owner was kind enough to leave a large shade tent for my family with small kids. Lots and lots of issues in the house though, so really really disappointed on that end….we had 4 other families stay here and saw all of their units, and beyond even stated how “different” ours was than their places………. 1. There is literally no door to the bedroom or walls……….. 2. None, and I mean none of the electrical outlets in the bedroom work. They are all too old and won’t keep a plug held in 3. There is a tile in the bathroom that’s losing grout and so if you or my kids stepped on the grout that was coming out, it cuts your feet 4. There are exposed cables everywhere!! Super unsafe for little kids. 5. The t.v. Didn’t work, and upon reaching out to the owners m, we never heard back from them 6. The bath tub doesn’t drain so all water from your shower builds up into a nasty pool of sand water 7. There is no stove/oven 8. The very old coffee pot is cracked 9. The bed is very old and very hard springs, and loud. 10. The community pool was so so icky. There were multiple complaints (from other people) that they weren’t cleaning the pool, or the outside of it was literally black mud So overall, the view was stellar and beach was awesome. Unfortunately I feel that the listing was not accurate due to all of these issues. Hopefully they can put some TLC and updates into this property to make it what it can be.

Our group always rents condos at The Breakers every year, so we know what to expect. This is our 4th year, but first year in this particular condo. Jennifer made check in very easy. My husband and I always filter our search for king beds, which this unit provides. We stay at the Breakers because of the location to Coligny shopping and the beach. We are aware the units are on the small side, but that does not matter. This unit could use a little TLC and the cleaning crew could pay a little more attention to detail. When I reached out to the owner, she seemed appreciative of the minor items that need to be looked at, cracked floor tiles and missing grout, blinds with slates missing. Overall, the unit was not the best we’ve stayed in, but it will do.

Great location! Steps to the beach with a great balcony. Restaurants &. Entertainment a very short walk! Due to the view & location very little time spent in condo - it allows you to take full advantage of the beach!

The location was perfect, ocean front with a beautiful view! I would not recommend this for more than 2 adults. The king bed was very comfy, great linens also. There is no oven and the convection oven didn’t work. I sent that to the owner.

November 2021 beach get away
We were here for a short 3 nights in early November 2021. This is a great location right on the beach, facing the ocean, easy walk to the beach. Walking distance to Coligny Plaza that had a lot of shops and restaurants. The property was updated and clean. The only thing we were unaware of from the posting is that the bed is located in the front room where you enter so there is no bedroom door. Not an issue since it was just my husband and me. It had a very comfortable big king bed. The bathroom is very small also, no counter space, but the shower was normal bathtub size. Kitchen seemed to have all the amenities although for our short stay we didn't cook in the condo, we tried all the local restaurants instead. There was restoration being performed in the complex but it didn't bother us. We would stay here again although I think it would be crowded for more than 3 people. I never had a reason to communicate with the property manager because everything was good.

Hello Amy, Thank you for your review. You are correct, the condo is small. Most one bedroom condos on the beach in Hilton Head Island are small. The condo is around 550 ft.². And it is ideal for one couple. The sofa does turn into a queen sofa sleeper, but the unit is better suited for two people. I’m glad you will come back again. Thank you! My husband and I enjoyed our 1 week in this wonderful condo. Easy walk to the beach. We watched the sunrise from the balcony and then went to the beach for sunset. The balcony view is incredible. Walk to all the restaurants. Great stay!

Amazing location and cozy condo
Really enjoyed our stay at Breakers #238. The condo is right on the beach. The view from balcony is great - we saw dolphins and a deer. Beach access is super easy. The pool is smallish but was never too busy. The condo has all the necessities. It is perfect for 2 people. The only downside was smallish kitchen so hard to cook and oven did not seem to work so no baking. The coligny plaza is walking distance and has lots of restaurants and stores (incl grocery store Piggly Wiggly). The owner is very responsive and attentive. Would highly recommend.

Perfect Location, Perfect Vacation
My husband and I just returned from a one-week stay at this Coligny Beach condo, and we couldn't have been happier with where we stayed. The place is even nicer than the pictures -- I especially appreciated the significant amount of storage space in the bathroom and the extra beach chairs & umbrella & chaise lounge on the balcony. Best of all -- THE VIEW!! There were two full days I never left the balcony and could still enjoy the ocean waves and sounds of happy children. The owner, Jennifer, was very responsive and helpful even when I started asking her questions more than a month in advance of our stay. The condo was spotless when we checked in and had everything we needed. And we could not have been closer to all the restaurants and bars and shops in Coligny Plaza. The only tiny issue we found was just hearing all the footsteps from the condo above us -- there was a family with four or five small children, it sounded like -- but I'm sure that'd happen everywhere when you decide to stay at the beach during school vacations. Overall, I wouldn't hesitate to stay in this condo again. It was the perfect place for a worry-free vacation.

Ocean front and a pool was key for our family each day. Location across from Coligny plaza was ideal to walk around, shop, eat and enjoy some live music. Unit itself was nice and the space our family needed. We want to book again!

PERFECT
This condo was perfect. The view was priceless. The king size bed was super comfortable. Jennifer that owns the condo is spot on and checked to see if we needed anything or had any issues. We tried to book again for the fall but it was already taken. Will rent this same condo next year and for many after that. You can’t go wrong.

Thank you! I just switched cleaning companies. The company I have now takes special care to make sure the guests are set up including laundry pods and dishwasher pods. We have Egyptian cotton 800 count high end bedding. Thank you for the wonderful review!
