“Great Base”

We upgraded to a club room which suited our requirements for the start of our stay in Vietnam. The rooms were comfortable and provided all that you would expect. The hotel is located within easy walking distance of shops, Bien Thanh market and all the city centre attractions. We also stayed for 1 night at the end of our trip. The staff upgraded us to a river view room on the 14th floor which provided a great panorama. Pool on roof is excellent. We did not eat in the hotel apart form the free breakfast when in the club room which was fine.

Overall the hotel is very nice. The staffs are excellent. The service is great. Very convenient location.

My favourite hotel ever, on account of the staff. I was thanked for making a waiter's job easier, simply for passing my plate. And it was a warm thank you, with a lovely smile. My room was stocked with fresh fruit at the same time each day, because the attendant knew I liked passionfruit & got a bit hungry in the afternoon. My in-room COFFEE MACHINE (yes, in-room) was re-stocked with extra coffee pods and creamer regularly, because just once I asked for another pod & some more creamer. The breakfast is phenomenal. You could spend all day and not get through it. The room service breakfast option, also phenomenal. Room service in general - wow. Even a simple burger comes with linen napkin, full cutlery, full mini-sized condiments, and a complimentary mini-pastry, so you can finish your meal with something sweet. Foodie heaven. Front desk staff are all-knowing, and graciously helpful. Porters/Doormen are just brilliant. Always smiling, happy to help, and quick to grab you a taxi and make sure it's a good, comfortable, reliable taxi. They are beyond friendly. The rooms - make sure you ask for a higher floor, just for the range of views it affords you. Amazingly comfortable beds, with A DOZEN of the softest pillows ever. Brilliant quality toiletries. Great roof-top pool and bar. Try the casino (entrance around the side corner of hotel) - purely for the lift ride. It's like an enormous nightclub style lift. Wouldn't stay anywhere else.

“Very impressed”

Having arrived at night after a long flight the hotel was wonderfully welcoming. We found the staff to be sincere and the service excellent. The upgrade to the executive floor was well worth it and provided a quiet place to be at the end of a working day.

“Quality Hotel with Great Views”

The view of Saigon from the roof top pool is amazing. We stayed on the club level so my 15 year old son could get a western breakfast each morning and I could get a nice glass of wine during the happy hour and both were included in the rate. Wine outside of a hotel is hard to find in Saigon. We stayed at a five star hotel in Saigon the last 4 days of our trip but we both preferred the Renaissance.

“Very nice hotel”

This was our 5th trip to Ho Chi Minh city. This was the first time at the Riverside Hotel. Get a room overlooking the river. Overall a very nice place to stay. Walking distance to shops and the Ben Thanh market.

“Perfect releif for business people”

Enjoyed the business lounge very much where wireless is free of charge. Only downside is that if you're not on the 18th floor then internet is charged somewhat 18 US$ per day for business people (?) - strange policy! If you're on the 18th you can reach the wireless for free... Otherwise - it's flawless.

“Great location”

We went for the Tet holiday. Our hotel is situated adjacent to the Saigon River. We enjoyed the poolside buffet on the 23rd floor on the lunar new year's eve and enjoyed the fireworks after the meal. What a stunning view!

“Excellent for Business Trip”

while I had visited Ho Chi Minh City as a tourist I have never undertaken business in the city. the hotel staff were excellent at organising my address list into Vietnamese and organising taxi's which had cell phones so I could ring and have them pick me up at the end of the meeting and take me to the next appointment. One cautionary note is that my room smelt. It smelt like the carpets had been cleaned allowed to dry slowly so there was a damp smell. When the hotel staff moved me to another room - not too hurriedly - it still had the same problem. I would also suggest that the upsell to the executive floor as you arrive and the 'looks' when you are not interested is not a good welcome message particularly when you are put into a smelly room on a low floor. It felt like a punishment for not selecting the higher level option. Rather unfortunate when all the services are good including excellent restaurant staff and food, laundry etc.

Stayed here about 7 years ago. It was good back then, and now it is still good.
