nice place, great location, good shopping and dining. nice rooms, beds and clean hotel, super friendly staff but if you like to sleep, better not stay here....PAPER THIN walls. Heard everything in then next room till 2 am..... Wont be going back here for sure

“great get away!”

Extremely nice place to stay. Overlooking the water....had a balcony room....loved that! Right outside the doors of the hotel are shops...loved that!

“Great weekend getaway with kids”

On arrival, I was please to learn that the hotel had reserved parking for guests in the parking garage with easy access to the hotel. The front desk staff was courteous and friendly and we were able to check in a bit early. We reserved a room with a king bed, found it to be very spacious. Lots of room to move about. The room and bathroom were clean and the decor was bright and cheerful. Our balcony overlooked the plaza where a band was perfoming, so we were able to sit out and enjoy the music for a while. Don't worry! The band was gone by 9:00 p.m., so there wasn't a noise problem at bedtime. The front desk made priority seating reservations for us at one of the many restaurants on the boardwalk. There are so many wonderful places to eat that we had a hard time choosing. We settled on Cadillac Bar and were not disappointed. During our stay we enjoyed the attractions at the Boardwalk and had a wonderful time. We will definitely pay a return visit.

great view of boardwalk, everything within walking distance. staff was wonderful.

Getting around

Perfect to visit kemah boardwalk. you can park and not have to get back into your car until your ready to leave. shops, amusements and restaurants all within walking distance.

“Needs Improvement”

It seems that the hotel was there for tourism; however, they need to expand their horizon by adding updates and amenities. Yes, the hotel seems to do a lot of business but it needs to give back to the patrons that visist and want to explore more. I think that most people are satisfied as to the attractions and surrounding areas but the hotel needs some kind of updating as it seems a little under maintained as to hotels with the same type of pricing I've been to around Europe and the US. I did in fact received a great price for the day I spent there, and I am very grateful that Expedia found me this offer.

“overall enjoyable”

Had a good time overall. hotel was pretty good. disappointed in the view from balcony because the view from room was of the tourist restaurants and shops instead of the waterway and boardwalk. bed was very uncomfortable. It was clean,safe, and overall nice. Very convenient parking. My wife enjoyed it so thats what matters

“I should have stayed here in the past visits”

Although it was a bit pricey, it was worth it overall. The rooms were large,the accomidations were really nice and the AC would freeze you out if you wanted it. The entertainment was really nice. I can't wait to take our whole gang for the weekend.

“This place SUCKS!”

Thermostat kicked on/off with major variance in temperature. It kicked on when you were in full sweat, kicked off when you were shivering under the blanket. Repeated this ALL NIGHT LONG. Lights on the boardwalk shined in the window at night - no way to block the light. Mini-blinds were ineffective. Choo choo train ran TOOT TOOT until midnight. Live music until 11:00, right outside the room. Hotel stank - the whole place smelled badly. Never will we return...never.

“Nice Hotel”

Overall this is a nice hotel with very clean rooms. The hotel is located smack in the middle of the Kemah boardwalk so convenience is top notch. The only thing I was that was lacking was the poor reception of the tv channels (Monday Night Football game) and the poor quality of the bed mattress.

Area recommendations

Top Water Grill in San Leon has the best Seafood in the area. The restaurants in the Kemah Boardwalk do not compare in quality to the food served at Top Water Grill. It's worth the extra 10 minute drive.
