Very nice property, excellent. Convenient to shopping and dining. They offer for valet parking for €23 a day. I would’ve rated it at five, but we’ve been to other hotels in Sicily that were significantly more luxurious and where staff were much warmer. I recommend that if you’re going to Palermo, you don’t need or want your own car to get around the city. Just walk or take a taxi. Parking is very difficult and it’s not an easy city to drive in. And I drive in New York City.

We had a great time in Palermo and enjoyed our stay at Hotel Politeama. It is situated convenient to shopping, restaurants and all of the sites in the historical area of Palermo. We especially appreciated the rooftop bar and restaurant where we enjoyed a glass of wine each night and appetizers. The breakfast was also very well done. The staff is wonderful. We took the shuttle bus to the airport that stops right outside the hotel. Very convenient and much less expensive than other options. The only concern we had was that our room was warm. We talked to the staff and they explained that they don’t turn the air on during this time of the year (January) and the large window is beautiful but allows the sun to heat the room. They suggested some options with the window and drapes that worked well. They also were willing to move us to an interior room but we decided to stay where we were. We would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

The location is so central to everything just by walking and if you need the bus, its steps away from the hotel entrance. So convenient. Did I mention how good the breakfast was? Oh yes.
