Visit Yeonsu-gu, a scenic district in Incheon, with Munhak Mountain rising high from its northern perimeter. The picturesque Yellow Sea laps the western edge of the zone, which is packed with shopping outlets and parks. Wander along Canal Walk for an excellent view of a cityscape of white towers and leafy parks.
Get ready for retail adventure in the Hyundai Premium Outlets Songdo, which has numerous upscale shopping options. Dine in the food court and hunt for bargains among the great deals in the outlets. Its courtyard often has market stalls and live entertainment, near the children’s train and fountain jets where kids will love playing.
Another commercial option is Triple Street, a futuristic shopping center composed of indoor and open-air sections. Browse the array of restaurants serving everything from international cuisine to Korean barbecue and other traditional specialties.
NC Cube Canal Walk is an outdoor mall divided into four zones named after the seasons. Between browsing the stores here, take breaks on the terraces near the canals or relax in one of the many cafes and restaurants.
Just a 5-minute walk from the NC Cube shopping hub is Songdo Central Park, thought to have taken inspiration from New York’s Central Park. Just south of the International Business District and Canal Walk, its ponds and café are surrounded by skyscrapers and trees.
The area also has several important trade hubs and business towers, including the Songdo Convensia Convention Center. Admire the modern design of this center, whose pointed concrete shells resemble those of the Sydney Opera House. Find Yeonsu-gu in the southwestern corner of central Incheon. Travel through the area by subway and take the bus from the center of nearby Seoul. While you’re in the city, visit some of the adjacent zones, including Namdong-gu, Dong-gu and Jung-gu.
