Nice hotel near all main sightsPosted Nov 18, 2013
Pros: Breakfast. Views from roof. Bed.
Cons: Lower floor rooms noisy as very close to road.
Location: Two minutes from many restaurants and subway station. Grand Bazaar, Blue Mosque, Palace etc all within easy short walk.
A lovely little unique hotel with excellent patio on roof. A great place to stay if you want easy access to all the sights and transport links in Istanbul without staying in a dull generic chain hotel.

Turkish DelightPosted Oct 19, 2013
Pros: Location, ambience, a roof terrace with a view of the Blue Mosque
Location: Right in the middle of things with all the main attractions within walking distance.
Istanbul is a great 24-hour city and the Bosphorus an experience in itself as you sail the line between continents, between Europe and Asia.

Excellent locationPosted Oct 6, 2013
Hotel location was excellent being in the heart of the Sultanahmet area of the city and within a few minutes’ walk of the “Sultanahmet” tram stop (note that the airport can be reached easily and cheaply from this same tram stop.) Many of the major sites and points of interest are within walking distance notably the Blue Mosque, Haghia Sophia, the Hippodrome and the Grand Bazaar. The hotel staff are warm, welcoming and very helpful, with the cleanliness of my room being of a good standard. The breakfast buffet was also very good. In summary, the hotel was good value for what I paid and I would stay there again.

Nice hotel in central locationPosted Sep 20, 2013
Pros: Friendly and helpful staff; generous buffet breakfast on 6th floor with view over city; use of computer, and free coffee or tea, available in lobby.
I stayed 8 nights, in a clean comfortable room, with friendly staff. The location was excellent: 1 minute from a range of good restaurants, 2 minutes walk from the T1 tram (which takes you quickly and directly to many of the main tourist sights), and 5 minutes walk from the Blue Mosque, Agia Sofia and Topkapi Palace.

Great locatiojn, tight quartersPosted Sep 11, 2013
Pros: Location, location, location.
Cons: The room we stayed in should have been a single room. it is really too small for two people. Also, it could use a mosquito net on the window.
Location: Perfect location in Sultanachmet. Hagia Sofia, The Blue Mosque, the Cistern, the Topkapi Palace, the Grand Bazaar are within easy walking distance.
The location of the hotel is superb, very close to Hagia Sofia and Blue Mosque. However, the room (while called a "standard") was the size of a walk-in closet. My husband and I are quite slim, and we usually don't mind small rooms while traveling, but this was the tiniest room we have seen. The full sized bed practically filled it, and we barely had room to get in and out of it. The suitcases didn't fit under the bed and had to be placed along the wall. We kept bumping into them. We had to keep moving our hand luggage around, placing it in front of the entrance door for the night, so we don't trip on the way to the bathroom. The wardrobe was tiny, and the hangers looked like rejects brought from home. We could barely hang 7 items of closing in there. The bathroom was also tiny, and the plumbing was loud, but it was clean. For some reason, we were repeatedly given only one hand towel for the both of us, though we asked for the 2nd towel at the front desk, and were promised we'll get it. We didn't. The breakfast was good, though the choice of fruit was disappointing (mellon and watermellon only every single morning). At the same time the grocery store next door had abundance of figs, peaches, plums and grapes which were dirt cheap. The advertised "freshly baked goods" were also unremarkable except for the last day of our stay. But the staff was very friendly and helpful, and we were told that some rooms are bigger. If this is indeed so, we'll probably come again.

3 Nights in AlaaddinPosted Aug 29, 2013 on Hotels.com
Our first 3 nights of our 1 month trip to Europe and this place was one of the best that we stayed in. Not only was the breakfast tasty every morning but that tea oh my the tea was wonderful. The rooms were relatively comfortable and the location was great. I love Turkey and wished we could have stayed there longer.

Great LocationPosted Aug 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
Hotel is located in the heart of Sultanahmet, a 5 min. walk from the Sultanahmet tram stop and only a block or so from the Blue Mosque, the Aya Sofia and Topkapi Palace. Service was efficient and the room was good value for the money. I enjoyed the breakfast on the 6th floor, but the real view is on the rooftop one floor up. Got some great photos of the mosques both day and night.

Nice hotel and good location in middle of tourist area in Istanbul. Good management and staff. Not the largest rooms, but clean, well maintained. Breakfast is nice.

Conveniently Located HotelPosted Jul 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel was conveniently located in the historic district of Istanbul, close to the Aya Sofia and the Blue Mosque. The rooms were simple, but clean. I agree with other reviewers that the walls were thin and it was easy to hear other rooms. However, this was not a major problem. The breakfast was on the top floor with a good view. Overall, it was a pleasant hotel to stay in.
