Aloha Linda, This studio unit is part of a larger condo complex. Many of the units in this building are built with a lockout room similar to what you would find in a hotel. There is potential for noise because this is in a condo complex at a very central location on the island with the beach nearby and lots of stores and restaurants as well for guests' convenience. This location is one of the best in Kauai for exploring the north and south side along with so many activities nearby. There are jalousie windows in this room for guests to open if they want and there is also a ceiling fan and cooler fan along with a mini-split AC unit to cool guests off. We try to offer reasonable and affordable prices for guests looking to visit and explore Kauai while also providing them with a great location along with having the beach and pool just around the condo building. When I spoke with you during your stay, you had told me that you stayed in the same location 30 years ago before it was converted into a condo complex and misunderstood the type of accommodations you had booked expecting the same experience you had in the past. I do have other properties in Kauai that have an ocean view with more space and bedrooms as well and would be happy to provide those listing details for you if you decide to visit Kauai again and are looking for those amenities. Aloha Veena, Thank you for staying in our studio! The location is very convenient for getting around to both the north and south side of Kauai. There is a beach and pool on the property which all of our guests enjoy along with the ping pong table in the rec room. One of the best things about the unit is that Safeway, Starbucks, and numerous restaurants/stores are just across the street for guests who need a coffee pick me up or to grab a quick bite. This studio room does not have a kitchen and isn't set up for cooking so we don't include a lot of cooking amenities. We do provide cutlery, plates, bowls, and cups as well as a mini fridge and microwave. Many Mahalos

It was our pleasure hosting you Matthew! The AC mini split unit in the room has a condensate pump which sometimes makes noise when it is running but is very normal because it is removing condensate water from the system when the AC is being used. There is a ceiling fan and multiple tower fans in the unit that guests can use as well to cool down if the AC bothers them. We have since had a technician come and look at the AC and they have fixed it so that there is less noise. Mahalo!

As soon as I have AC, the listing will reflect this amenity. The room does have multiple fans for guests to utilize in order to stay cool and get good airflow. The unit is similar to a hotel room where the door is double locked from the neighboring unit so neither people from each side can get into the other's room. This is a studio so there is no kitchen but there is a mini fridge and microwave along with basic dishes and utensils. The location is one of the best because the beach is right around the condo building and super accessible to various conveniences such as Safeway, Starbucks, and lots of great shopping nearby. There are also two pools on the premises which guests can use as well. I try to price rates very reasonably especially on Kauai. I am glad you had a nice stay at the unit. Mahalo!

When you had inquired about booking the unit, I had just recently listed the property and had to update the rates since that was right over Christmas week which is the busiest time and I had explained this to you prior to your reservation. I apologize about the sheets, and I would have loved to bring you the right size if you had communicated this to me during your stay. The condo building has many units that have rooms which are separated by a double lock door so neither guests can access the other room so it is very secure. The room has a ceiling fan, multiple tower fans, and a cooler fan to help guests with the heat. I do plan on installing AC into this unit soon. The bed is brand new and is a California King so guests can enjoy a comfortable and spacious night’s rest. The room is a studio so we try to provide useful amenities that guests can enjoy during their stay without overcrowding the room. I regularly update prices to give guests the best deal they can find especially on Kauai. My family and I are very grateful to be able to run vacation rentals on the beautiful island of Kauai.
