Perfect Getaway - Beautiful view
What a wonderful stay for a post Christmas/New Years getaway! The weather wasn't perfect but it didn't matter since the house was warm and comfortable, there were lots of games and puzzles and one only needed a hot beverage (also provided) to relax and enjoy the view of the lake. The house was clean, updated and the beds were comfortable. We had fun in the kayaks once the weather cleared up. The welcome wine was a wonderful touch as well. Thank you thank you!

My family and I enjoyed our stay in this cute, clean cottage . Beautiful location with all the comforts of home. The hosts were incredibly hospitable and responsive to questions. The fenced in yard was nice for our dogs to play end the views were gorgeous. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Nice spot right on the lake. Our stay was only a couple of days at the end of a longer vacation. Lots of things to explore during a longer stay. Enjoyed our stay though. Contacted the host a couple of times and he was very quick to respond and very helpful. Thanks!

Great property for a small group and dogs. Greeted by nice wines. Fabulous to have waterfront and be able to slip their kayaks right in the water. Clean and quiet property. Relaxing yard and deck. Spotted an otter, herons, and egrets.

Rejuvenating Weekend Away
My family (self, husband, 10yr old, and dog) had a deeply relaxing stay at this perfectly located cottage. The views overlook the private dock, expanse of the lake and mountains beyond. A nearby wetland became ideal for bird watching all day long and a short paddle away and we could watch the bubbling action of natural volcanic springs. It was a perfect getaway to play games, paddle board and kayak, and spend time with family. The hosts were responsive and very welcoming with local wine.

Made for those balmy nights watching the sunset and the stars rise
My favorite spot was looking back to the house and seeing Mt Konocti looming above. But there was also a young family of Northern Goshawks (I think) eager for their parents to come home with supper - an amazing sight and and sound. Sunsets were amazing and we caught a few of the laggard Perseids as they skipped off the atmosphere. For city dwellers seeing the night sky where there is no light pollution is an indelible memory and visual feast of fascination and exploration.

July stay at the Cottage
This was a great location for our family to spend time together. Our hosts left interesting historical information and recommendations for nearby resturants and sights. They even left a wine selection that we enjoyed and other convienient "creature comforts". The cottage is near geothermal features of the lake. We enjoyed all of the abunant wildlife such as the Osprey nest right above the neighbor's house. It was a couple hour drive to the coast for the day and an easy drive to explore closer towns. We enjoyed our get away.

Teen getaway
I took my daughter and 4 of her friends to Clear Lake to relax and get away. We had prefect weather while we were visiting so it was fantastic. We used the kayaks that were at the house and we brought two paddle boards. They had a great time paddling and swimming all day long. The bedroom/bathroom arrangement was prefect. The kids had their space and I had mine. Sunsets and sunrises were spectacular. Also lots of birds to watch. We were able to make simple meals in the kitchen, it had everything we needed. A prefect short getaway for all.

Blissful Laketime
The photographs don't do it justice! There was ample space, 2 living areas, and the rooms were a great size. The house was clean and fully stocked with everything you need including pots and pans, pasta strainer, can opener, Keurig coffee maker, even a smore making machine! The appliances were all newer and worked very well. The showers and water pressure was great, and the view onto the lake was amazing. The kids had a ball, and the deck was nice to sit on and watch them swim from. There is a little store about 2 minutes away in case you forgot something. Scott was fast to respond and very helpful. Would highly recommend.

The kind of place I'd buy if I could...
I visited the lake house in early May for a remote work and fishing trip. Had easy access to the lake with my kayak. Kept it on the dock and launched whenever I wanted to from there. Easy parking for my SUV and kayak trailer. Great area on Soda Bay with easy access from the dock to the state park area and Henderson Point using my kayak. There were even 2 kayaks included should you need them. House was fabulous. Pics don't really do it justice. There is more space than I expected. Could have easily brought my whole family thanks to the front bedrooms, bunkbeds, and nice bathroom. Kitchen was small but perfect and the owners even included 4 bottles of wine to try. The bathrooms were great - the lakeside master with on-suite includes a soaking tub. I haven't used one of those in a while and enjoyed it after a long day of work and fishing. Overall, this place is fantastic and I would stay again and will plan to. Thanks to Scott for making it available!

Soda Bay was Great!!
We had a great stay at Soda Bay - booking and check in was a breeze. The deck was amazing both morning and evening. Fire pit was great - the dogs loved the backyard. Lots of waterfowl to watch. Boat worked great for our bass boat - caught most fish right out from the house!! Great visit and would love to come back again - gonna miss that view.

Great Lake views on the water
The place was easy to get in, owners were great and quick to respond with any issues. The views of the water were amazing, and the propane fire pit on the deck was great for night time relaxing. The wife and I even took the kayaks out for a few trips around the bay and was great fun. Little cold because it was off season, but to be expected and the heater was powerful! Super cozy little weekend trip with the InLaws

We let ourselves in to the beautiful Lake House to find a handwritten note and several bottles of wine to enjoy during our stay from the hosts. The Lake was very low (hi, global warming) so we didn't get to take advantage of the dock but we used the lake level as a reason to go exploring with our dogs! They LOVED it and we loved watching them swim with the ducks and splash around as we explored the "bottom of the lake". Sitting in the extremely cozy lounge chairs next to the fire whilst watching the rain fall over the lake whilst enjoying a glass of wine made for the perfect relaxation destination. It was quite a magical view to see the many deer pass through the area. We definitely enjoyed our stay and hope to return during the warmer season to enjoy the kayak, beautiful deck, and once again enjoy waking up to the amazing view!

Great Week-end Getaway!
This home was a wonderful week-end getaway...it was very clean, nice open air common are, beds were comfortable and our hosts were very generous to leave us some bottles of wine...a very thoughtful gift! LOVED that there was coffee available as well. Beautiful location to just relax, read, BBQ and enjoy the views. The only reason we didn't give a higher overall review really was beyond the owners control - the lake is pretty low so that took away from our overall experience . The hosts were first rate and very accommodating...thank you Brian & Nicole!

July 4th family vacation
We had a great family vacation. We went to the Lake, and kayaked. The kids even learned how to SUP. We did use one of their kayaks. On July 4th, the family enjoyed movie night by the fire pit. The family chose "The Guardians of the Galaxy 2". We brought our projector and screen, and we set it out on the patio. We enjoyed the night watching the lake and movie. It was great to make the another family memorable vacation. Your place was great. We enjoyed the Lake cottage theme, and the simplesty of the white walls. We loved that it was family and pet friendly. We would rate your B&B 4 and 1/2 stars. It was an enjoyable and lovely cottage.We would definitely come back.

Absolutely perfect property to get away! We brought our bass boat along and enjoyed being able to come and go from the dock throughout the day! It was a perfect place for our dogs to run around, safe and secure! Scott was extremely kind and we are looking forward to coming back again next year!

Great get away
The off the beaten path location was great for a family escape after the holidays. The rooms were comfortable and the central space was great for playing games and movie night after a day of hiking local trails including Mt. Konocti! The hosts were immediate in their responses to our early concerns and all problems were rectified in minutes, most of which was regarding my ability to use the fireplace and heater! Great Place for an Anniversary and Holiday Stay
The house was very clean, comfortable and organized. The scenery from the deck was magnificent. Unfortunately, because it was mostly rainy and cold at the time we were unable to take as much advantage as we would have wanted of the deck or its immediate access to the lake. However, since it was Christmas week anyway, we thoroughly enjoyed the indoors, especially the family room and fireplace. Our host, Scott, was very responsive to all our questions and needs, from the time we signed up and throughout our stay. We are considering returning perhaps in late spring or in the summer.

Fun Thanksgiving on the lake
Scott and Nicole were very communicative from the start and check in was a breeze. The property is right on the water and the views from the living room were beautiful. They had (x2) one person kayaks for us to borrow and the new dock made it easy for us to access the water. We brought our fishing poles, but there was also a pole in the house to borrow. Kitchen was plenty big for us to do all our Thanksgiving cooking/baking. There were games and a puzzle in the kids’ room. We were able to watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade with their subscription to YouTube TV. Place was tidy, neat, and updated. Nice place for a getaway with the family. We loved our time there!

Hidden Gem in Clearlake
If you're looking for a quiet peaceful getaway with good fishing spots and comfortable sleep, this place is it. If you're a family of 4-5, with a pet, this place is perfect. The only thing we wish is we would've stayed longer! Owners/property manager are great and are quick to respond. Lake view is amazing on their newly built deck :) !

Perfect little get away!
This property was absolutely beautiful. The property owners were very nice and thought of everything to ensure a pleasant stay. Their attention to detail is top notch. The house is beautifully updated and decorated, which made it a perfect place to relax for my family. The lake level was quite low, which was a bit of a bummer for docking our boat. But that of course couldn't be helped and we made due. Overall very pleased with our stay and absolutely plan on staying here again.

Perfect family stay
The Soda Bay property is very cosy, clean and comfortable. It’sa perfect home away from home. Scott and Nicole are very tentative and commutative host. Most of the property only provides basic amenities but they really went above and beyond to ensure that we feel welcome and have an incredible stay. It was the smallest details such as the welcome local wines, first aid kit to emergency grooming kit. The property also has all new appliances and VERY comfortable beds. Although, we are in the middle of drought, we managed to enjoy hiking near by park, kayaking and fishing. We definitely will stay here again.

Perfect for a quiet getaway.
We were welcomed with wine and a personalized note from the hosts. The master bedroom has a great view of the lake and a spa jet in the bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped and includes coffee and condiments. The view from the patio is stunning and you get an unobstructed view of sunset. There’s also a grill with a fire pit and the hosts generously provided everything needed to make s’mores! There are a couple of kayaks and life jackets as well and a ton of space outdoors for pets. While the house has wifi, unfortunately it stopped working on the second day of our stay. The hosts were very responsive and tried their best to get it fixed. We were able to manage the rest of our stay on LTE. A note: The smell from the algae in the lake gets quite pungent and attracts lots of flies. Be wary to keep the doors of the house closed or else you are going to spend your vacation swatting a dozen flies hovering over your head.

So peaceful and beautiful!
I loved this peaceful property! I visited during a heat wave and my boyfriend was out fishing in a tournament so I spent the majority of my time indoors. The house was more than comfortable and the view was fantastic! I am hoping to visit again with my family very soon.
