Bill and Veda were wonderful hosts. Breakfast was delicious and enjoyed the fellowship in the family table setting. Very clean and a great location. We will be coming back.

We feel that we stayed at the PERFECT PLACE!!! Loved the east access to the beach, the wonderful breakfast, the beautiful room and bath but most of all, Veda and Bill are great hosts!! I would recommend this Inn to everyone I know that is traveling to this area. I haven’t mentioned how fun the area is but the whole area is relaxing , has great seafood restaurants, the Wright Brothers Memorial brought to life just what the brothers went through in planning and executing the first flight; we loved seeing the lighthouses (the Bodie Island Lighthouse was our favorite) but the Cape Hatteras Lighthouse was amazing as well and to know that engineers planned and had a team move this lighthouse 2,900 feet in 1999 to protect it from being washed out in the ocean was an unbelievable feet. If you are looking for a vacation where you just want to relax, this is it!! Thank you to the Cypress Inn for the nice accommodations!! Harold & Paula Cornett

Our stay at Cypress House Inn was wonderful; magical! The inn was the exact old beach house setting we wanted for a trip to the Outer Banks. House is all charm but with every modern comfort and unbeatable hospitality from Bill and Veda. Breakfasts were so delicious and served outside at individual tables. Loved the coffee bar outside our room; beach accessories provided; comfortable bed, and the location was fabulous - about halfway between our ventures north and south and steps from the beach. I highly recommend Cypress House Inn for a few days or a whole week. We hope to come back again!

Veda and Bill are great! They made us feel welcome, gave us great breakfasts in a beautiful setting, gave us ideas on sites to see and offer a comfortable Inn a block from the beach. I highly recommend them!

Wonderful stay at the Cypress House Inn! It’s a block from beach and the service was the best. Bill shared his extensive knowledge of the area with us each morning. We had delicious breakfasts during our three days: fresh fruit followed by French toast, pancakes or quiche. The loft was the perfect room for our family of four. It’s spacious, clean and there's a deck with some views of the ocean. We had beach chairs, umbrellas, cooler bag with reusable ice packs, umbrella and picnic basket. When I asked about boogie boards, Bill was very responsive and we had a couple to use right away. It’s not a full kitchen but there is a fridge, microwave/air fryer, coffee maker and cups/glasses/utensils. The location is about the middle of the Outer Banks, which worked well for us too.

We liked everything from the homemade breakfast served with a personal touch, to the very short walk to the beautiful and never-over crowded beach, to the well-appointed and comfy room and cool covered porch. The owner was very friendly and I’d stay there again in a heartbeat.

I've found this gem while looking for a last minute trip for my Birthday. It's very central and convenient to all my activities for that weekend. But the best part, is the beach, and is just across the beach. The owners made me feel like home. I will definitely stay here on my future trips.

This was our first time staying at Cypress Inn. Our first impression of the place was amazing! It was so clean and charming. Veda and Bill were so kind and welcoming. We had everything we needed. Our room was very nice. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom was spacious and we had plenty of hot water for showers. They provided us with beach towels, chairs, umbrellas and even a bicycle. The cleaning lady was very kind to us as well. Our breakfast was elegant and our conversations with Veda,Bill and other guests were very nice at the dining room table. We were walking distance to the ocean which made our stay even more pleasurable. We had a great stay at Cypress Inn. We were treated like family. The Warners from WV

Simply wonderful!
We came back this year for 3 nights after a fabulous stay last year and had another great experience in every aspect! The hosts, Bill and Veda are attentive and treat you like family. Our rooms both times have been spotless and well-kept. Every detail is accounted for and similar to a boutique hotel with home-like charm. You can't beat the location which is centrally located in the OBX and literally across the street from the ocean with easy access. Bill is also the best concierge and will give you honest reviews and suggestions for things to do, places to eat, etc and knows all the local history to add to your adventures. The full breakfasts are wholesome, fresh and best eaten in the fresh air under the covered porch (in our opinion). Such a refreshing place to stay! Highly recommend!

This was our second time at Cypress Inn. Your host, Bill, is a very hospitable and welcoming person. I feel at ease as soon as soon as I walk in. The official greeter, Sassy, is there to say “hi”. You won’t find a sweeter and calm dog. Our room was clean and comfortable. Bill will spoil you with his homemade breakfasts and a few stories sprinkled in. He is a wealth of knowledge about local history and what to do for some entertainment. Cypress Inn is a total winner in my book.

Outstanding location 200 yards from the beach . Great food . The owner and his daughter exhibit near - gourmet chef skills . Despite staff shortages state wide , housekeeping is outstanding . Great parking . Cozy ambience. The owner is the most gracious person . Beds are very comfortable . A/ C is great . Felt more at home here than at my place. The only reason i did not give this place 10 stars is Expedia would not let me . If you are going to stay in only one place on the outer banks this is the one to chose. Great rocking chairs on porch .

Everything was very clean. The location across from the pubic beach access was great. Breakfast was delicious! Some of the best muffins I've had. I always rate on how good the shower is. Theirs is great! Also, enjoyed the water/coffee station that upstairs near our room.

We enjoyed our stay at the Cypress House Inn. Our room was very clean and and the bed was very comfortable. Bill is a great host and made sure we had everything we needed. He is very personable and he's quick to share his knowledge of the area. He cooked a delicious breakfast in the morning and we had the choice of eating inside or on the porch. Beach access is right across the street. Great place to stay!

The innkeepers were pleasant outgoing and knowledgeable about the area, and things to do. They had towels, chairs and umbrellas for the beach. Their breakfast we’re spectacular and the service was awesome! I would highly recommend this B&B for anyone looking to be pampered while their on vacation.
