Great view
While there was a slight miscommunication at the beginning of our stay, property management made it right immediately and then also provided complementary late check out. The property came with beach gear, which was in great shape. It also has an incredible view of the ocean out of the main bedroom as well as the lanai. Would stay here again with my family.

Great property, great location
Condo was very good and had everything we needed for our stay including some beach stuff. Lanai was great for sitting and room ACs did come handy. We didn’t use the pool but it never looked crowded. Definitely was not noisy given the number of tourists. Smooth communication and check-in/out process. Welcome tray with fruits and food was a great surprise :-) Very close to Poipu beach which had some great snorkeling. Not too far from stores and restaurants. Most of the island is less than an hour drive - other than the far north region.

Poipu Holiday
After a 2 week business trip to Australia, we decided to break up our trip home to Canada with a stay in Poipu. Upon arrival, we found the condo to be exactly as advertised and more. The condo is very clean and open with amazing views of the ocean. The kitchen handled our needs and the provided beach chairs, towels and umbrellas were there and ready for us to use. We were particularly impressed by the grounds and bbq area etc. Everything is well looked after and groomed and pool and grills cleaned every day. Whale watching while having morning coffee or a late day cocktail was a highlight for us. Our dealings with Evelyn were prompt and pleasant. We would certainly consider booking this unit again for future stays. Margaret and Paul

nice place, great location
We had a very pleasant stay. Really enjoyed the walking path along the water that extends beyond the complex. It was also nice to have a hot tub in addition to the pool. You can hear the kids at the pool from the lanai, but it did not detract from our stay.

Very convenient
Location couldn’t be better. Most days we walked to the beach, restaurants and happy hour. Evelyn is amazing. We had two minor issues during our stay and both were taken care of the day we called.

The photos of the property are accurate. The owners have added two portable AC units in the bedrooms which is helpful cooling the unit down on hot days/nights. Nice hot tub and pool in the middle of the complex. Great views toward the ocean with crashing waves on the rocks and Spinner Dolphins swimming by. Overall we were very happy with our stay and Evelyn at the property management company was very helpful during our stay.

Very pleasant stay
This was our first trip to Kauai and the condo location was perfect. It is located very close to beaches and nice walking trails. The condo unit was very clean and was loaded with everything that my wife and I needed. The property manager was very responsive with any questions that we had. I would recommend this condo to anyone that is planning to stay in the Poipu area.

Great Location
Great location in Poipu near beaches. No a/c but we were able to get a nice cross breeze through the condo. Beautiful views from the lanai.

Easy check-in with clear instructions. The unit had everything we required. We stayed while the complex has construction occurring. That was well communicated in advance & did not prevent us from enjoying our stay!

Great family vacation!
Our family (with 2 older teenage children) had an amazing time in Kauai. This property was in a great location and gave us plenty of space. We loved sitting out on the lanai and saw dolphins right from there. Most of the unit has been updated and we used the kitchen quite a bit. It was well stocked and had everything we needed. We we definitely stay here again!

Amazing views & pool; balcony still under construction
This is a great property in an amazing location. It is an easy 15 minute walk to either Shipwreck or Poipu/Brennecke Beach. The views from the lanai are gorgeous. Unfortunately, the lanai is still under construction and only half the sliding doors are functional. It would be a much better breeze through if you could open both lanai doors. The place is large and very comfortable for a family of 4. The low flow shower heads made washing off the daily sunblock a bit challenging but this could be fixed with a higher end fixture. The master bedroom room separator could use repairs. Overall, the place is a wonderful location for a family vacation.

Incredible Views - Family Friendly
This place was exactly what we were looking for when booking our trip to Kauai. It’s not super fancy - which we prefer. The owners we encountered were very nice. My son loved the pool - my only note was that it is open from 9:00-9:00 which is a little late (I would have loved to be able to swim some laps in the morning). Additionally the hot tub being open until 10:00 would make all the difference. Even saying that I would 100% stay here again. You can’t beat the view or convenience. The condo had everything we needed and the beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend staying here! You will not be disappointed.

Spectacular view of the ocean from our room! It was stocked with everything we could ever need, including all kitchen and food prep items, recreational equipment, and cleanliness. Walking distance to Poipu Beach.

The place was really clean except for the windows. There were no shades on the kitchen windows. So anyone in the parking lot could look straight through the place, meaning the kitchen and living room. I must have missed the notification that the balcony was broken/closed because it was under construction.

Lovely location, clean, needs a bit of maintenance
We loved this place for our family. Absolutely worth the price. Currently the deck is off limits due to building maintenance and I believe that was reflected in the price. Found that the master bath could have used some maintenance in the show area, but still adequate for our needs.

Whale Watching Paradise
This was our second time staying at the Makaheuna complex. The first time was another unit, which we enjoyed, but this one was far better. The unit had everything we could need (even sun hats and beach chairs!) and the view was incredible. We saw dozens of whales and dolphins right from the living room during our Ferbruary stay. We had a late flight leaving the island, and for a very affordable half-day rate, the hosts allowed us to stay until 6 PM, which was perfect to able to enjoy our final day on the island without worrying about getting on the plane sandy. The host replied quickly and made it a great trip!

Can’t say enough great things about this place. I booked a last-minute trip to Kauai and these days just happened to be open. When I arrived, everything was as communicated , and there was a bowl with some Hawaiian goodies and a ripe pineapple.!! I almost cried :) it was soooo good. I found the condo clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay here again. Pool and hi tub are a nice bonus

Location…location…location!!!
First of all the property manager was incredible to work with…she always responded promptly and worked with us at every level from check in to check out! The view from this property was incredible, we could see dolphins swimming in the ocean from our condo….beautiful, beautiful views. Everything was very clean, all new appliances! It’s an older property but they have recently started renovating it, all that’s left is the showers and glass patio doors which I believe will be complete in March 2023. There was always plenty of places to park. The only down fall was there are 3 set of steps to get to you condo, so with luggage it makes it a little tricky but we managed without much difficulty. There’s is no air conditioning but the breeze coming through the condo with the windows opened made it very tolerable, and there are ceiling fans in the living and bed rooms. I would most definitely stay here again!
