This property is in an ideal location right among all of the city action and best restaurants, with wonderful rooms and a view of the sea.

Some dissatisfaction
Had to ask for cleaning, towels, maid service. One day beds were left completely unmade. Parking is terrible, a block away with $50 additional cost for four nights. Hotel located in the perfect spot for time on the malecón, I would recommend ocean view though. The stay was nice, but I doubt with so many other places with similar accommodations we will stay again

Very pleasant stay in a great location. The staff were excellent. They were especially generous in helping us sort a problem with our rental car.

I was disappointed to be honest. I wasn’t expecting a 4 or 5 star experience but the fact there was no coffee maker, cable TV or a secured safe was disappointing to say the least based on the price point compared to other hotels in OaPaz. Moreover, there was no patio even though they claimed to have one

Good option in front of the Malecon, no pool is really a great place to be out the whole day and use it only for sleep. A little bit overpriced. Parking is not included.

Well, the staff were lovely. The furnishings were lovely. Our biggest problem was we thought we’d have a single story suite overlooking the sea. Instead we had 3 flights of steps inside the unit and no view. After steps to get to the room as well, There were no railings by the stairs either inside our outside. As older people with some disabilities, it was extremely difficult and dangerous to navigate. I think people should be warned about such unexpected challenges.

Loud - don't stay here
One of the worst nights of sleep of my life, my first night at the hotel. I am shocked by the prior excellent ratings of this hotel on hotels.com, because it is not a great place to stay, at all. It is right on the waterfront - which one might think would make it nice - except that the noise is so bad, especially in the most expensive, water view rooms. The cleanliness is not great, the parking is off-site, expensive and inconvenient, and the hotel doesn't help you unload at all and really has no viable place to do so without blocking traffic. The employees are mostly oblivious, not especially helpful. I do not recommend this hotel, at all.

Great base for a few days in La Paz
Lovely hotel at the sea front in La Paz. The staff offered great advice and helped plan a few items during our trip. The hotel is simple in concept (no parking, gym, swimming pool) but is a perfect town hotel with interesting room layouts and finished to a high standard. We would recommended having a drink and watching the sunset from the rooftop of the hotel down the road “club Baja”

I did not receive the heads up about the parking lot being a block away. The shower was clogged so we were unable to use it. Also there were only two towels in the room. No hand towels. The towels were also very thin

Great short stay in La Paz
Incredibly friendly and helpful staff! Clean accommodations with a couple nice restaurants. The breakfast that was complimentary as a Silver member was really great. I would definitely recommend to anyone visiting La Paz!

Location is great! Close to shops, restaurants, bars and boardwalk along beach. Staff was excellent and very friendly. Front desk manager is the best I have ever seen in my many years of travel. He is very friendly and helpful!

Staff was very friendly and rooms were clean. Excellent location near and Malecon. Kid friendly with accessible refrigerator and kitchen. The only downside is that there is no parking and you have to park Away from the hotel and you have to pay for parking.

Best Place to Stay in Heart of Malecon
We stay in La Paz about once a month and have stayed in several different hotels. This is now our favorite. Although pricier than some others, the location is superb. Both the hotel restaurant Central 1535 where breakfast was included and the adjacent Origen which we enjoyed for dinner were superb. The large room with 2 upstairs bedrooms and downstairs living area plus simply supplied kitchen would make this an especially nice longer stay with family or friends. Our room was not on the malecon and we did hear some noise from the courtyard but overall it was a calm, quiet vibe. We found the service superb including the offer of towels to take a dip in the sea right across the street. Our new favorite hotel in La Paz in the heart of the Malecon.

Fantastic staff, we booked a room too small for our needs and that’s on us as they have other lovely and larger rooms. Delicious food, both meals were upper echelon dining. You can open your wine on property to accompany any meal as there is lovely courtyard. Really, people there could not have been more helpful. Places they sent us to never disappointed. 100% would stay again!

Our stay at Casa al Mar made us wonder how we stumbled across such a great find. The staff made us feel like we were at home. Whether we had general questions about the area, needed a few extra minutes during checkout or needed help with our Spanish, they were so kind and helpful. The owner was often on site and reiterated that we should feel at home while at Casa al Mar. We upgraded from their standard room (tiny, quaint, adorable) to a suite due to the amount of stuff we had. The standard room was a bit cramped. The suite was more like a California condo for only $30 more. SO WORTH IT. For some reason, we weren't provided hand towels and the hot water was inconsistent. Because we weren't terribly concerned, we didn't inquire. I'm sure the staff would have accommodated us without question. Definitely check this place out! We will be returning for sure!
