Our stay here was wonderful.. staff was very friendly and helpful seeing this was our first time here and didn’t really speak the language too well. It is in a very remote area so not having a car is extremely tough as taxis and busses are aren’t available near by .. walking could be challenging with the hills but overall I’d definitely recommend staying here. It was very peaceful

We are disappointed with our stay. We rented a duplex with partial seaview. Upon our arrival, air con & phone did not work. Balcony sliding door cannot lock, the locker/safe was broken. Ventilation throughout the building is poor. We can smell breakfast bacon in the elevator and our 3rd floor hallway, even after lunch time. We found a cockroach on the first night. We did however, receive excellent service from Maria (front desk staff). She worked very hard to try & fix all the problems. Without Maria's help, we will not be able to complete our 4 nights stay at ANC. We cannot thank her enough. She is an asset to ANC.

I stayed for one night only (not because the property was bad, just my schedule). You have to have a car to get here, like anywhere on the island. It's a VERY steep walk down to the public "beach" which is nothing but tide pools on a very rocky tideline - not worth it, there are much nicer beaches on the other side of the island. Also need a car to get to the town center. At least there is breakfast and a restaurant onsite at the hotel. The room was very nice, with AC, a kitchenette (but limited dishware), and a big bathroom. The welcome during check-in was too much - the young woman spent at least 15 mins telling the guests checking in before me all about everything about the hotel. They were clearly tired and just wanted their room. I was the same, so I cut her short since I'd heard her spiel already. The hotel should put this info in a book in the room and not waste our time at check-in. Overall average value for the cost, but I'd recommend the northern side of the island.

Very well maintained property consisting of the main building and detached and semi-detached homes. They have a swimming pool, a tennis court and are located in a quiet scenic area, very close to a small but beautiful beach. All rooms have fully equipped kitchens or kitchenettes. It was my second time at ANC Experience and I'd definitely stay again.

Agreat place for the $$
This is a cute boutique hotel nested in the very center of the city. Easy access to everything including free parking. One thing i would ask management to investigate is a tiny humming noise outside the room where i stayed, it kept me awake part of the night.

Stunning location for amazing price.
The place is unreal. Amazing location, nice design, comfortable bed, friendly staff, stunning view, and has an amazing chef onsite for fine dining. I stayed longer than my original plan and i akready booked my next stay in a few months. The room price was very affordable too.

Room was spacious. We only had a short stay so didn't have an opportunity to explore all amenities. Staff was friendly and courteous. The only small thing was that the hallways had a residual smell of cigarettes. Otherwise, we were generally satisfied with our stay

Overall, very good.
Overall our stay at Aparthotel Do Mirante was very good. But, when booking, I emailed the hotel that I had a very specific request, an upper floor room with a balcony and ocean view. We had a comfort apartment that technically was an upper floor, because you took the elevator to the third floor to get there. However, the hotel is built into the side of a steep hill, so we in fact could walk out of our room onto the grounds. In other words, our "balcony" was a patio. Additionally, there was a high stone wall between our patio and the ocean, obscuring the view. I noticed that there are five apartments towards the rear of the hotel that are truly upper floor with private balconies and great ocean views. We tried to see if we could switch to one of those, but there was no availability. I think the hotel should do a better job describing the attributes of each room. Otherwise, everything was fine. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking a full meal. The staff is friendly and helpful. The pool is fantastic. The location and the town of Agua Da Pau are great. A rental car if you want to fully explore the island is highly recommended.

Poor location and dated, uncomfortable
From pictures, looked like a cute mid century modern place. It was, but dusty and in need of updates. The bed was two twin beds pushed together- extremely hard mattresses. Stairs between loft with bed and level with bathroom were slippery. Kitchen was nice to have. WiFi was just ok. Inside a gated community which made arrival slightly confusing in terms of how to get in. Very narrow roads nearby and some unpleasant encounters with locals in nearby shops. We would stay elsewhere next time.

Very nice place. Kind of secluded but we did go during off season. Accommodations were very well even though it was not peak seson. The only thing I would recommend is updating the bed, couch ant tv. The bed and couch were very uncomfortable. Drive to main city a little hit of a distance. But, overall we enjoyed our stay. We would recommend this place and revisit.

Unexpected surprise
My wife and I greatly enjoyed our stay in Caloura at the Do Mirante Aparthotel. It offers quality lodging and the staff is very accommodating. I would agree with others who commented on the questionable comfort of the beds but everything else is above par. Caloura and the nearby town of Agua Da Pau are quite charming.

Very quiet but smart hotel
We wanted a hotel as a base for trips around the island to do the walking trails. This was a nice, quiet, clean and smart hotel, with a large, off road, car parking area, and was situated centrally along the south coast. The self catering facilities were basic, two rings, a microwave, kettle and toaster, but sufficient for making breakfast.

nice hotel right on the coast .
nice hotel out in the country . located right on the coast . the staff were amazing. the hotel was clean and well equipped . the view in the morning , while sipping our coffee on the balcony , was of the ocean below and the rugged cliffs above . the only sound was the swishing of the sea and the twitter of the birds in the surrounding garden .

Boa estadia
Cama confortável. Ficámos num quarto com varanda com uma bela vista para o mar, onde se vê o pôr do sol. Boa piscina. O quarto tem cozinha incluída e o frigorífico faz algum barulho, o que incomoda durante a noite.

Gut ausgestattete saubere kleine Küchenzeile mit im großzügigen Hotelzimmer. Sehr großer zum Hotel gehöriger Pool, der dadurch zwar recht frisch ist, jedoch viel Platz zum Bahnen schwimmen bietet. Das im Hotel ansässige Restaurant wirklich sehr lecker.

Uma estadia muito agradável!
Gostamos muito da nossa estadia, foi tudo muito bom. Parabéns a toda à equipa. Apenas uma coisa a apontar em relação ao menu do Restaurante havia coisas que já não tinham disponíveis o que tornou a nossa escolha muito limitada.

Das Hotel bietet sich sehr gut an als Ausgangspunkt für Ausflüge. Das Zimmer (Junior Suite) war gut ausgestattet und die Terrasse bot ebenfalls viel Platz. Das Personal war durchgehend freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Ich hatte einen guten und angenehmen Aufenthalt dort!
