Ants infestation
On the evening of our stay we bought a bottle of wine for the room and the waiter gave us some chocolate in a bowl which we didn’t end up eating. In the morning the room was covered in ants they were all over our clothes on the desk in suitcases and in the bowl. Totally unacceptable.

Excellent location with onsite restaurant. Other restaurants in the area also. Breakfast was varied and tasty. Wonderful receptionist (G) who was very helpful and friendly. Room was in good condition and clean. Also loved being able to have a cuppa in the room. Would stay again and recommend.

The hotel staffs are very friendly and helpful. The location is not very convenient to amenities tho. Overall till not a bad choice if you have own transport.

Dont let the free breakfast fool you! Its expired!
The food items for the breakfast were expired! There is no water in the room, there is no nearby supermarket or shops!

Ideal
Lovely hotel, a small but clean and modern room with wonderful skylight and blackout blinds. The wifi was not working for a day or so during our stay but otherwise worked well. The restaurant downstairs was convenient as well as the option to hire bikes from reception! Buses stop right outside both in the direction of Sirmione and Garda/Verona.

Amazing Value and Quality
Conveniently located between Peschiera and Sirmione, a car would be required to get around the area, but otherwise was a great stay. Comfortable, clean, AC, pool, free parking, great breakfast selection, easy checkin...both of us were very happy with the stay and especially the price.

Decent hotel with a lot to learn about customer se
The hotel is not centrally located but ok with a car or bikes. The place is spotlessly clean and although extremely basic it was sufficient for a short stay. There was no safety deposit or hot drinks kettle in the room - the TV had no English speaking channels. The biggest dissapointments were the way the view was obscured by a high walled balcony you could only see over if you stood on a chair! What a tragedy in such a beautiful location! And the size of the room was very small! The bathroom was spacious and the shower hot and powerful with decent towels though not much space to put toiletries or a tooth brush - again an indicator of the basicness of the hotel. The restaurant attached does really superb food! But the service is slow and chaotic! Such a shame as it was the best pizza and pasta we had in our whole Italian stay but chasing your food is no fun! The buffet breakfast was surprisingly good with lots of whole food and healthy options, gluten free products and generally a very big range! Good bonus! The friendliness and willingness of the staff to be helpful was also surprisingly poor. They were not very helpful to us with my husband having recent injury on his leg which was in a brace. We asked for a room upgrade for a little more space and on hotels com it was £20 a night more which was fine with us, but they wanted us to pay rack rate which was 3 times more. They wouldn't let us cancel and rebook through the existing hotels booking to save £. Things to work on!

Very good stay at this hotel. Nice modern, recently renovated. Very clean shower and bath room. In good taste. Excellent breakfast. Good bread. Did not use restaurant but seems popular. Very, very convenient for bus to Sirmione Old Town.

Charming hotel with a great pool
This is a charming hotel full of character but with the added bonus of AC. The pool was very welcome after a days sightseeing would’ve been even better if it was open a bit later

The hotel is on a great location, right next to the bus stop if you want to go to other towns. It is really comfortable and nice, great pool and worth the price. Breakfast is great, and the restaurant has good options as well for lunch/dinner.

Great place to stay, food delicious.Breakfast Fresh honeycomb ) and Dinner. Bus stops right outside, ideal for Verona and Lake Garda sites.

A lovely hotel with fantastic staff.
The staff were absolutely fantastic. Had a little trouble with how to get to the airport and they were so attentive. The food from the restaurant attached was amazing. I will definitely return.

Reasonably priced hotel, but on a busy road.
Nice place, but front rooms could be noisy in prime time. We booked based on price, location, parking and breakfast. We stayed only one night in late October 2013, and asked to be switched to a rear room. Clean, comfortable and centrally located between Sirmione and Peschiera. We would use it again, but a couple of others in the area also looked inviting.

A lovely hotel with character
The hotel Dogana is located near a main road and a 10 minute walk away from the Lago di Garda. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The hotel has excellent food at reasonable prices. We loved trips on the lake and visiting little towns around the lake.

Good Choice for Sirmione
The hotel is a little bit dated but perfectly ok for what you pay. The breakfast is very average, but again all you can expect for the price. The hotel is about 3 or 4 miles away from Sirmione centre but when compared to the rates for hotels in the centre, its a good option. The swimming pool is nice and clean and is an added bonus.

Family vacation in Italy
The staff at the Dogana hotels was very friendly and assisted with just about all our needs. The restaurant has great food at a reasonable price. Unfortunately the hotel is located on the outskirts of the city and inconvenient and lowered my overall rating as there are better values closer to the city.

Nice place for family vacation
We enjoyed the nice athmotphere, friendly and serviceminded owners and staff. The food was great. 5 min walk to the lakeside and bath, we rented bikes at the house next to Dogana and biked up to old town Sirmione. We also appreciated the pool. Everything was clean and nice.

Wunderbarer Aufenthalt am Gardasee
Es war ein einmaliges Erlebnis… mein Traum ging in Erfüllung- 1 mal live bei der 1000 miglia sein… Quassi vom Balkon des Hotels konnte man die Rennwagen erleben. Das Hotel sowie das Restaurant kann ich bedingungslos empfehlen.
