The location and the lakeside pool are amazing. Food for breakfast and dinner were superb as was the service. The mattresses were too hard though.

Good but basic hotel located right on the lake. Very large room but furniture needs to be upgraded. Located in Weggis who’s is about 40 min from Lucern by water taxi ($25) or you can take a bus and train for about $10. No coffee in room. Safe, quiet location. Good restaurants nearby. Hotel breakfast was good as well.

Beautiful view and perfect location
Stayed for 1night. Hotel is dated but the views are amazing especially from breakfast room. The location is very pretty and we had a room with an amazing view. No air con in room but fresh air from mountains and lake help.The best part is location and views. Breakfast is average, cheese, bread, yoguary, cereal etc, nothing exceptional. Parking available opposite hotel, paid at hotel but on sunday is free.

We loved this hotel's convenient location and our spacious lake-view room. The staff were very friendly and helpful and everything was clean and well-maintained. The breakfast (included in rate) was very good. The pool was very nice and the access to the lake was much appreciated! We would definitely stay here again.

Likes: Lakeside position, spacious room. Dislikes: Basic holiday hotel with budget furnishings and poorly trained staff. Rudimentary breakfast buffet Room rates are outrageous (despite low room occupancy!) but consistent with all hotels on the Lake. Weggis in mid-late June had surprisingly few visitors - appeared that most hotels were nearly empty. Slightly depressing.

Beautiful lakeside property
Beautiful property, our room (116) was very comfortable and had a lovely view of the lake. There was even a little balcony. Breakfast was very good with ample choices, and the restaurant was very good. The only negative was the weather, and that’s no fault of the property. Would definitely recommend.

Very quiet and in a beautiful location. My only complaint was that we were in a room on the side of the property. We did have a nice view of the lake but it would have been nice to have one of the front facing rooms. It didnt appear that the hotel was full and I should have asked for a room with a better view.

Great location friendly staff with an extensive menu in the restaurant. Although pricey it’s location right on the lakeside makes up for it.

Superb hotel on the lake
Definitely the best hotel on the lake in Weggis. Light airy rooms, comfortable beds, beautiful views. Very clean & tidy. Superb pool & lakeside access for swimming. Helpful friendly staff, great food. Ideal location for boats & travel.

I booked a room in the actual "Hotel Central" and when i showed up, I got "upgraded". It was in their property next door...my doubts were confirmed. It looks like NOTHING compared to the "main property"!!! But it was a long day and i didn't want to argue. Then the room wasn't clean. Then i was told to wait 30 min. I did. Room still not clean (by the way this is after check in time). Charged for 2 breakfasts. There is one of me, and by the way, the breakfast "buffet" is no better than a Holiday Inn Express (actually that might be better...they have more selection). Then no electricity the last night I was there! Fantastic! I've stayed in Hostel's that were better.

The rooms were clean and comfortable and the staff was courteous and helpful. One challenge was that they were having trouble with the boiler so there was no hot water the first night. The hotel's view of the lake is stunning. We had very delicious Thai food from the restaurant and loved sitting right on the water during dinner. This hotel is not in Lucerne, but rather in a town several miles away. We took the Ferry from Lucerne to get to the town (Weggis). It is about a 40 minute Ferry ride on the beautiful lake.

Lost opportunity to be something special
Nice hotel in a beautiful spot but could be so much better. Food was OK but not great and Menu was very limited. No drink making facilities provided in room but was provided with a kettle when requested. Biggest problem was the hotel has apparently done away with large beds in all rooms meaning anyone looking for a romantic getaway here will be presented with two single beds pushed together.

Beautiful area and hotel
Staying out on Lake Lucerne for two days was paradise. There isn't a more beautiful place on earth. The hotel is excellent and the staff was very friendly. If you are in Switzerland I would definitely recommend a stay here for complete beauty and relaxation. Getting to the hotel is easy as you arrive in the train station in Lucerne, walk across the street to the boat taxi and take an awesome 40 minute boat ride to Weggis. Once there the hotel is about 400 yds away from the boat dock and an easy walk.
