Our stay was good. The location was great. Mohammad was very welcoming and helpful. The shower control was a little confusing and the room could use more light, but the bed was comfortable and everything was clean.

It was good overall. We found it nice and clean. But the only problem was the water puddling in the shower area and sink.

The location was excellent and as you can see many aspects were fine. That is why it was disappointing to be charged SF5 for a small battle of water, quite unnecessary the same water only 2.40SF at Zurich airport.

We had to carry our luggage up 3 flights of very narrow stairs. No one offered to help us. The girl who checked us in would not take the time to tell us if our other friends had checked in as she said she was too busy, but there was no one else checking in. Every time any of our group went to the desk to ask a question, she was rude to them. The location was great to walk around Lucerne which made it nice.

The reception is basically across the street from the property, no problem at all. The location is perfect, right on the main waterfront area. They let us check in early and leave our luggage to explore on check out day, we appreciate that. Power outlets could be found under the built in end tables. Shower actually fully closed, this seems uncommon in europe. The only downsides: There was a large woden beam at a 45 degree angle near the 3rd bed, and my daughter bumped her head on it twice, once quite badly. No elevator and we were on the 3rd floor. Had a tv but no channels or streaming services. 😕 Overall very happy w the stay

Convenient and Quaint Hotel
It was convenient in its location, but the celing fan was wobbly and unreliable. Also, the top right portion of the bed sheet had a ripped slash. If you want convenient and within walking distance of the sites, it will suit your needs. We really enjoyed Lucerne, so this was hotel suited our needs.

Good experience.
They upgrade us to stay at opposite hotel. Very spacious room facing the street. Check in and check out process were smooth. They allow us to store luggage because we came earlier than check-in time. Location 5-10min walk to main station. The rosli guest house don't have lift so not reccomended if you have big luggage.

Location is the greatest advantage of this property. Right in the middle of the old town. Walkable distance to the bahnhof (train station), chapel bridge and a lot of good restaurants and shops.

Find somewhere else.
At check in we were re allocated to the sister hotel and given a tiny attic room. The room was old, dated and in desperate need of an upgrade. No air con only a noisy old fan. The only positive was the proximity to town.

It was quite an old building, but still clean and easy to get to upper floor thanks to the EV. Staffs were kind and it was nice that we could keep our luggage for a while after check out.

No major complaints as this place was MUCH cheaper than other surrounding places and we were only in Lucerne for one night. The room was small and outdated, but the bed was comfy enough. The hotel is definitely older which can be a plus or minus depending on what your travel style is, but we didn't mind. Light sleepers might have a hard time with how thin the walls are, and the noise of people coming in and out. The location was ideal though and we could easily get anywhere we wanted to go in 5-10 minutes. If you're going to be there for awhile, you may want a hotel with a little more comfort to it but this was perfect for a quick trip.

Mediocre Accommodation.
In the USA, we would consider this a motel room, so it is a bit highly priced for the accommodations - but everything in Switzerland is expensive. The floor was not clean and one could feel grit in walking barefoot on the floor. I would probably elect to stay in a different place given the price for the accommodation. It was however, very central to things we wanted to visit. It was easy to find and the check-in process was easy.

Beds were really comfortable, and it was great to be able to sleep 5 adults in one room. Rather miss american custom of in-room coffee maker and fridge. No food allowed in rooms. And no air conditioning. Slept with the window open and it was very comfortable. Very helpful staff and an excellent stay.

Dear Sir, Expedia do not make the charges for the hotel. Only the hotel can do this. Hotel makes a pre-authorisation before you arrive.

Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.
They asked for CHF10 to store our 2 small carry-on luggages for 6 hours! Unbelievable. Never seen anything like this. It is more expensive than the lockers at the station. But besides that; storing luggages for the afternoon after checking out shouldn’t be a paid service. I can’t imagine what else they are charging for. I saw that they they charge CHF 5 for a small bottle of water. Overall it is very cheap service. Wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Moreover the noise level at night was very high. Hard to sleep unless you are extremely tired. Luckily we were.

I booked at the Roesli Guest House but was placed in the Baslertor Hotel, a partner property, so the room was different to what was advertised when I made the booking. The room was very dark, with neither much natural light nor adequate lighting.
