LANE'S COUNTRY HOMESTEAD Close Raystown Lake, Pa state Pk, Quiet, secluded ,2-10

Rent a fully furnished rural 'home a-way-from -home'. Make precious memories. Renew family ties & rejuvenate on quiet farm surroundings. Enjoy the peace & quiet. Watch various birds and butterflies. Try to identify natural flowers and wild growing weeds. Relax on rockers while on the front porch. Return to 'old time' activities. Explore the wooded trails and there is a old cemetery on a trail nearby. Run bearfoot in the lush green grass. Fish for your dinner from a pond nearby. Let your children play on the play set that has a slide & firemen's pole. There is a horseshoe pit for the adults to enjoy. We would love to be part of your vacation. Staying here like visiting your Grandmother's homeplace. It is ideal to have reunions or small intimite couple only quiet time. We are located 1/2 to 1 hr travel-time of many things to see & do in Huntingdon County. Examples of these attractions are; a amusement park, antique stores, caves, glass making, candle making and basket weaving businesses. All being locally owned stores including the area's restaurants. A locally owned grocery & gas store are 4 miles from the Homestead.

Refreshing getaway
The property was the perfect place to stay and relax after spending the days paddle boarding at Raystown Lake. Great rural setting to unwind and the kids loved fishing in the pond and swimming in the pool.

Property owner repeatedly claimed we had more people staying at property than we booked it for.
House to accommodate 10 did not have enough furniture for 10. Beds too small for adults to share. Nice proPOerty, very clean, but we will not book again.

Family Time
It is a great place to unwind and spend time reconnecting with each other. The pool was a huge hit on the hot days of summer. Two of my grandsons and their mom caught their first fish and everyone else fishing was also successful. There is algae on the pond but the fish are still biting. The quiet environment made relaxing both day and night a wonderful treat. Time around the fire was fun for us all. We started and ended our days on the relaxing porch. Pictures tend to make the rooms look larger but there were 10 of us and we had plenty of room.

Loved it!
We really enjoyed our stay! There were 4 couples and we had plenty of space. We enjoyed a peaceful stroll down the country road, a chat by the campfire and a swim in the pool. It was like stepping back in time as we enjoyed all the memories of history in the home. We enjoyed dinner together around the big table and then relaxed on the rocking chairs on the front porch. A great place for a country get-a-way!
