Comfortable hotel close to the strip

Posted Apr 10, 2015
Pros: The 1 bedroom apartment with a full kitchen was perfect for our needs as a family of four. Located an easy walk to the strip.
Cons: The mattress in the pullout couch was too thin and worn. The hotel could not supply us with a foamy, they gave us blankets which did not help.
Good choice for a week exploring the strip and the surrounding nature. The many pools made it seem like it was not crowded even though the hotel seemed very busy over the Easter weekend. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very impressed with the cleanliness of the room and facilities. I would go back to this hotel.

The amenities are very nice.

The apartment style setting, patios and swimming pools are perfect for getting away from the busyness of the strip.

Long in the tooth

Posted Mar 25, 2015
Pros: Close to many beautiful golf courses.
Cons: See above
Location: See above.
Everything looked a little dated and beat up. Grout in the bathroom is showing it's age and dirt accumulating in the corners. I am an IHG member and didn't receive the usual "gift bag". If Mesquite wants to become a major golf destination (and it should), accomodations in the area should reflect that ( and they don't). Might want to consider sprucing up and becoming a Holiday Inn Resort, like the one in LV. I said I wouldn't recommend this hotel because I had to give an answer. As far as I could tell, there weren't a lot of options for housing in Mesquite , other than the casino. If you are going to charge a premium price, accomodations should also be premium.

Nice resort just off the strip.

Friendly staff, speedy service, entire resort was very clean. They were upgrading a complex beside us so construction was taking place early and throughout the day a bit loud and annoying.

pricey but great stay overall

Posted Mar 9, 2015
A friend has a time share here but we needed more rooms so we booked seperately and it was a bit pricey but it was worth it. The room we got had a contemporary setup to it. Surround sound, lit-up wall paintings, dimmable flushed lighting, and just the design of it all was very nice. It was a two room suite and splitting the price among friends made it affordable. Not sure if i would pay if it was just me.

Best hotel for Sands Expo , etc.

Posted Jan 29, 2015
Pros: Location and spacious rooms.
Cons: Housekeeping needs to make a better effort. It was not up to a standard in keeping with the facility.
Location: Great for the strip or the sands Expo hall.
We have stayed at this facility 4 times in the past several years and it is always such a pleasure. Now that HI has taken it over and renovated it is even better than before. I can't comment on the restaurant as we didn't eat there. The rooms are excellent. We stayed in section 21 last and it was recently renovated. Very well appointed. Housekeeping could have done a better job as they left no coffee in the room for 4 days and there is no silverware BUT, even with that being said, this place is still the bomb if you are doing anything on the strip or particularly if you are attending the Sands Expo facility. It is less than 5 minutes to walk up the street and cross over once and you are at the entrance to the Sands Expo hall. Front desk staff was excellent on check-in. Could do without the attempt to encourage us to go to the strip and do a show. Parking is a breeze. Security is great.
