Diamond in the dirt

The palms place was one of the best hotels I've ever had because of the friendly staff, clean rooms, the only thing I can say it that the valet will not acknowledge you if your not in a really nice car which was a little upsetting. Overall minus the vallet this hotel was quite and enjoyable stay.

Had a great stay at this hotel! Enjoyed the room and being on the top floor. Also visited the Ghost Bar which had an excellent view of the Vegas Strip.

Nicely decorated rooms with kitchenette which was added bonus (although not fully stocked). Has free shuttle to strip every 30 min which is great if you want to stay away from hustle and bustle but still have access (otherwise 30 min walk from strip). Overall very happy with stay

3 night stay

Pros: Size of room. Shower size and multiple shower heads.
Cons: Cleanliness. Repairs. Valet professionalism. Update furniture. Update vanity including removing gaudy light.
This was our second stay at the Palms and in comparison to the first stay this recent stay was very disappointing. At check-in, we were informed that our Expedia Gold upgrade was unavailable. When I questioned this because it was a Wednesday, the staff member spoke with someone else and then stated that they could make the upgrade possible. They acted as if it was a big inconvenience. I was then placed on the 8th floor in a larger room but the room had maintenance issues and was not very clean. The light indicating whether a maid can clean the room or whether you don't want to be disturbed was broken. This became an issue as the maid knocked on our door twice during our stay and also a staff worker bothered us to check on the refrigerator supplies that were for sale. I had asked that the maid provide a do not disturb sign and I also called the front desk but nothing was done. This could have very easily been remedied. The room itself was very dusty and the carpet was dirty. At check-out, I informed the staff that I needed a cab and was properly instructed to go to the valet. I informed the valet and he stated that he would call a cab. He then walked away and we waited for about 5 minutes until a black escalade drove up. The driver informed us that he was called to take us to the airport. I told him that I was waiting for a cab as per the valet and he then proceeded to try to hustle us for a $45.00 fee for a ride to the airport. No valet was around for assistance

I stayed in the suite and was promised a balcony and it was locked up I went downstairs and asked about it and I was told it was policy and then my bed was beyond uncomfortable and I was also told that there was nothing they could do so I don't think I will be staying there again.

Always a great place to stay, great room, service from valet to the front desk is terrific, room clean. Had an air conditioner issue on the first day, it was fixed, but I was not able to get on the wireless this trip.
