Booking was smooth but apparently breakdown in communication between Vrbo and host meant that no check in details were sent. Host promised directions to car park which were not sent either, but he was really helpful with verbal directions when we phoned. Flat very utilitarian but had everything we needed for a four day stay and host responded quickly when Netflix went off and bulb blew. Bed very comfortable, sofa not comfortable for sitting on, shower rooms lovely. Building rather echoey and not well soundproofed (we could hear neighbour snoring!) but lovely and spacious and tidily decorated. Biggest problem was with hot water boiler which was faulty and made horrendous noise - host responded but unable to get plumber because of holiday season, which meant no hot water and we did end up having to turn the stopcock off for some of the time which meant no water at all. Luckily we were out a lot of the time but it was a nuisance and the noise was such that we could not hear the TV or hold a conversation in the lounge when it was on. This would have spoilt our stay if we had been there during the day and we did end up sitting in bed reading instead of watching TV/playing board games for two of the evenings. We would stay there again- host was responsive (once the booking had been sorted) and accommodation was clean and had everything we needed - but maybe not as our first choice due to the number of issues during a four night stay and the slightly sterile feel (obviously just a matter of taste). Location was perfect and carparking good.
