Great staff but expensive for a 3star
For a 3star hotel, it was quite expensive but I think it might be the area. Heard that many hotels in the area didn't have AC so lucky for us there was AC in the room. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly and even let us borrow a travel adapter. Rooms were clean but did wake up with a number of bites of my legs that weren't there before i went to bed. Hotel had wifi and Breakfast was very limited, although it did last for much longer (around 11pm). Location was great! Right by the beach, train station, shops and restaurants

Castigliocello staying at Hotel Leopoldo
I was delighted with the view from my window, thetiles up the steps and in the hall and breakfast room are wonderful, , the breakfasts superb , atmosphere and staff simply delightful.price exceptional for all I got

Fine, but not very good value for money
It's a nice hotel in an excellent location, very close to beautiful seafront (just a few steps down, 1 minute on foot) easy walking distance to train station. I had not originally planned to stay there but the options a local friend had suggested were all taken, so it was a nice surprise. I paid 122 Euros for the night which I found somewhat poor value for money but it's an expensive part of Italy. Friendly staff (certainly compared to the other locals - Castilgioncello was definitely the least friendly place in Italy I've ever seen after many visits to Northern Italy and Rome). Reasonable minibar prices (2 Euros for water bottle, or small peanut snack). Breakfast from 7:30 until 11 a.m. Only gripe: no shower gel provided. And there is a tacky blinking sign hanging out in front - but this only affects the outside impression, it's not visible or noticeable from the inside. One of the staff spoke hardly any English but others were on hand who do and I understand some Italian so communication wasn't a problem.

Sehr nettes Personal, gute Lage, gleich am Strand, Blick zum berühmten weißen Strand. Sehr gutes Frühstück. Waren nur für eine Nacht, wäre aber eine Überlegung wert dort länger einzuchecken.

God service - små rom.
God service fra vi sjekket inn til vi dro. Anbefalinger av spisesteder og steder for bading. Litt slitt hotell og små rom. Fikk velge mellom et lite rom med utsikt eller et litt større. Valget falt på det største rommet siden vi hadde med oss to store kofferter.

Gute Lage, freundliches Personal
Älteres Gebäude mit Flair, gute Lage dicht am Meer. Alle Mitarbeiter sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Unser Zimmer war winzig, nach einem Upgrade hatten wir zwei Zimmer, ebenfalls jeweils sehr klein. Die Klimaanlage wird erst im Sommer aktiviert. 28 Grad reichten dafür nicht aus. Wir mussten einen Tag eher abreisen, dieser wurde sehr kulant storniert.

Reliable tourist hotel with great location
Castiglioncello is a charming town on the coast of Toscana. It's a real town with life a year round, not just a summer town that wakes up for a short summer season. This used to be a favorite place for the famous and beautiful people in the 1950's and 60's. Hotel Leopoldo is wonderfully located with the beach close by and by lovely winding streets in the calm shadow of great pine trees. Well maintained villas and apartment houses with gardens around. The hotel service is very friendly, the rooms are of comfortable tourist hotel standard. Famous, great restaurants are just a few minutes walk away.

Hôtel agréable en bord de mer...
Agréable petit hôtel proche de la plage. S'apparente plus à un hôtel de type familial un peu désuet. Les chambres sont plutôt petites sans table pour pouvoir y travailler correctement. L'insonorisation n'est pas très performante mais le signal wifi est excellent. Le petit déjeuner est très limité avec peu de produits frais.

Gut mir Einschränkungen
Wir waren 8 Nächte im Leopoldo im kleinen Küstenörtchen Castiglioncello. Direkt beim Ankommen fiel das Parkplatzproblem auf: Das Hotel hat zwar einen eigenen Parkplatz und öffentliche Parkplätze, die durch die beim Ankommen ausgehändigte Ausnahmeerlaubnis zum Parken unseres PKW berechtigt, allerdings ist die Einfahrt zum Hotel-eigenen Parkplatz supereng und für unseren Ford Focus nicht befahrbar, die öffentlichen Parkplätze waren ab 20 Uhr oft direkt an die Touristen vergeben. Sowohl Hotel als auch Zimmer waren sehr sehr sauber und gut ausgestattet. Sehr gute Betten, exzellente Klimaanlage, gutes Badezimmer. Das Frühstücksangebot war für den geringen Aufpreis okay, die enthaltenen Kaffeespezialitäten waren absolut erstklassig. Fußläufig ist man in 2 Minuten mit den Füßen im Wasser, in unmittelbarer Nähe gibt es dutzende Restaurants, Cafes, Eisdielen u.ä.. Ein kleiner Supermarkt ist etwa 1 km vom Hotel entfernt, eine Apotheke 0,8 km. Ein großes Einkaufscenter in Rosignano Solvay erreicht man in 10 Minuten mit dem Auto. Das Hotelpersonal ist sehr kommunikativ, empfahl uns die besten Strände und Freizeit-Möglichkeiten sowie Ausflugsziele.

Fantastisk beliggenhet - nærme strender, restauranter, sentrum, toget -alt! De som jobbet der var svært hyggelige, hjalp oss med alt mulig og var varme og gode folk som fikk oss til å føle oss som hjemme. Rommene var rene og hadde god standard. Grazioso albergo a due passi dal mare
Atmosfera tranquilla.e rilassata, ben frequentato e con personale di staff professionale, efficiente e disponibile. Grazioso hotel a due passi dal mare
Grazioso piccolo hotel a due passi dal mare e vicino al centro di Catiglioncello. Molto pulito, le camere purtroppo sono un po' anguste. Molto disponibile e cortese il personale, in particolare Roberto, il direttore, che offre la sua consulenza agli ospiti per indirizzarli a visitare le località più amene e a vedere le cose più interessanti. Anche la colazione è di livello buono.

5 netter på dette hotellet ble i meste laget. Trangt rom, kun grei rengjøring, under middels frokost samt dårlig parkeringsmuligheter trekker ned. Området rundt hotellet er helt ok, men er ikke tilrettelagt for strandferie for folk med "normal" lommebok. 40-45 euro pr dag for 2 solsenger/parasoll. Hotellet reklamerer med gratis parkering, noe som er helt riktig. Man må imidlertid parkere på en offentlig parkeringsplass med tildelt parkeringsbevis - som betyr masse trafikk. Vi fikk skrapet opp vår leiebil mens den sto parkert. Hotellet har naturligvis ikke ansvar for eventuelle skader.

En perle
Liten koselig plass med et flott hotell. Vi fikk en grei mottakelse når vi kom. Ekstra rom til barne uten å betale noe ekstra. Frokosten er typisk Italiensk, veldig enkel med lite tilbehør. Hotellet ligger 4km unna en fantastisk sandstrand. Hit vil vi komme tilbake!

Flott opphold
Castiglioncello er et nydelig sted ved kysten av Toscana som vi absolutt vil anbefale. Hotellet ligger i umiddelbar nærhet til strand og hyggelige spisesteder, samt kort vei til togstasjonen. Meget vennlige og serviceinnstilte hotellansatte. Rent og ryddig. Frokosten er grei, men kunne hatt bedre utvalg. Alt i alt er vi meget fornøyde og vil trolig reise tilbake hit.

Hyggeligt og godt beliggende hotel med fantastisk
Meget hyggeligt hotel som ligger i et roligt kvarter i en lille hyggelig by. Mulighed for at bade 200 meter fra hotel, men 4 km væk ligger en af de fineste sandstrande vi har set. Servicen på hotellet er fantastisk - vi vil helt sikkert gerne tilbage :-) og køkkenet er i top

Das Hotel ist klein aber fein, vorallem für ein 3* Hotel wirklich gut ausgestattet. Frühstück ist ok, und man kann vorallem im Hotel sehr gut Abendessen. Seitens des Hotelchefs gibt es gute Tips welche Strände man ansteuern kann, es werden auch Strandliegen (zu bezahlen) in den Buchten vorreserviert.

Hotellet er sentralt, men ligger i et rolig nabolag. Har greit kjøkken og relativt stort utvalg på frokostbuffeen. Svært imøtekommende betjening som kan godt engelsk. Litt gammeldags interiør, men meget renslig.
