The motel's location was okay; it was around 20-25 minutes from LAX but being out at night wasn't really an option. The owners were nice upon check in, as it was a family owned motel. We were given only one room key, and you had to ask for the wi-fi password if you wanted it, though the wifi was pretty fast. The motel was gated for security, but there wasn't a lot of parking, and the grounds were littered and not well kept. The faint chorus of an ice cream truck can be heard at all hours of the day, and there was a particularly cute calico cat who roamed the parking lot. As far as inside, I've stayed in nicer Motel 6's, but it did the job considering we were only there to sleep. The bed sheets had stains and the bathroom door didn't shut at all. There literally wasn't a latch bolt installed. There was a coffee pot, but no coffee or sugar/creamer. They also did not leave any complimentary shampoo, soap or conditioner the first night, so be sure to bring your own. The fridge and microwave worked just fine, and there was a hairdryer, iron, and ironing board in the room as well as a mounted flat screen, but we didn't try to turn it on nor did we see a remote in the room. The bathroom was small but clean. Overall, I don't think I would stay here again as we absolutely did not like the location and did not feel very safe. You should pay the extra $5 or $10 a night to stay somewhere else. I'd give it 2.5/5 stars
