Great hotel in nice and quiet beach areaPosted Apr 29, 2015
Pros: Newly renovated and clean. Had self serve laundry.
Cons: Scrambled eggs at breakfast would be nice. Beds are too soft.
Location: Lots of restaurants nearby with fresh seafood. Nice pier area to walk around.
Hotel was newly renovated and was clean and comfortable. Good breakfast provided. Within walking distance to lots of great restaurants. Hotel is far away from LA tourist areas. Other then that a great hotel with staff who provide amazing customer service. Would definitely stay here again.

Beautiful business tripPosted Apr 22, 2015
Pros: Renting out the hotel's bicycles to take a ride up towards the other beaches was wonderful!
Location: Santa Monica is a short drive away and has many places to eat.
Went on a business trip to Redondo Beach and ended up staying in a hotel in Beverly Hills for the first half of the trip and then staying here for the second half of my trip, and I wish I had saved money by staying at this hotel for the whole week I was in LAX. It's a wonderful hotel, next to the beach, had better service than the Beverly Hills hotel, and was much cheaper. One night there was a party on the second floor veranda, but from my first floor room I couldn't hear a thing and still had a restful night.

Very nice hotelPosted Apr 20, 2015
Stayed only one night, was fairly close to the beach, mostly the marina. Breakfast could have been a bit better but overall a very nice place, would definitely stay there again.

Surprisingly lovely, not In Marina, across from itPosted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: FIne complete remodel. Fresh breakfast onsite. Comfy beds and rooms.
Cons: A small listing on how to use the room thermostat, we had 2 people show us since we are not tech whizzes.
Location: Been there before, great location to walk to the Pier and restaurants since otherwise you pay crazy parking fees everywhere in California!
Turns out this was former Best Western that we stopped using since it was so outdated. Surprise! All new 60s' retro vibe is fresh and relaxing downstairs, fine compact rooms with all new colors, finishes, TV, bedding. Only discord was in check-in, the young man said our room wasn't ready because we were early. Having driven all day from Scottsdale we were tired and needed to get settled. He didn't even check to see what was available. Don't let customers get in the way! The pleasant young woman next to him did check for us during this exchange and found one King room, upper floor, was available so all was well. Breakfast was fine, hard boiled eggs, whole fruit, and right in the view lobby.

Walking distance to Hermosa BeachPosted Apr 14, 2015
Booked based upon location and its affordability relative to other hotels in the area. Its about a half mile to Hermosa Beach and Pier Avenue where most of the restaurants are. The bed was comfortable and bathroom clean. Having a microwave and fridge in the room was a plus as well.

Felt like homePosted Apr 12, 2015
I stayed for one night, and although the screen door to my balcony didn't open, it was a great experience. The beds are super soft and I slept like a baby. I would definitely return again.

A fairly new hotel close enough to the beach.Posted Apr 7, 2015
Pros: Clean, friendly staff, comfy beds, pillows and towels
Cons: Longer breakfast time until 9:30 or 10:00 AM.... People are on vacation!!!
Location: Walk/ bike/run along the beach and boardwalk
There are still a few more details for the hotel to iron out. My husband is in construction so he can tell when details are rushed and cheap. The hotel has a very odd lay out that required several turns in hallways to make our way to our room. I wouldn't doubt if people have gotten lost trying to find their room. The complimentary breakfast was from 6AM-9AM which ends very early, so as a result, it's packed at 8:30AM with no place to sit. We like to exercise prior to eating so it made for a very rushed morning even though check out time is 12 noon. The beds were great; towels were awesome. The hotel is across the street from the beach area but too far away to be considered oceanfront. We had a lovely view of a power plant or sewage plant from our room which was basically in front to the left of our room sliding door to the outside. That was a surprise considering the price. But our room was quiet way back in the side corner so we were grateful for that. The hotel has their own bikes to rent but which we didn't have time for, but definitely a plus! Our run/ jog along the beach and boardwalk in the morning was perfect; we just crossed the street and we were there.
