Property is in a nice location of Locco, with perfect views of the lake, our room literally had a stunning view from our bed. Only approx 20min walk from the centre of Locco where there is shopping and train station. On train less than hour to Milan and 20 mins (quick train) to the stunning Verrena. Hotel is peaceful and staff are polite and accommodating. Only criticism, both nights I could hear loud techno music which started around 1.30/2am which must have been from a club nearby

Lakeside retreat
Lovely hotel only a short walk from Lake Como. We had a garden view room on the first floor, which felt nice and private. Breakfast was great - the lady running it was exceptional and we felt very well looked after.

The staff at this hotel was very knowledgeable. They tried to please their guests. I truely loved the location, it was extremely peaceful.

A perfect “window” to Como
Amazing location face to lake Como, very discrete place. Room with a perfect design to enjoy the view to the lake. Very friendly and helpful staff, mostly the person at the reception.

The gardens and surrounding green spaces were beautiful, offering a wonderful view of the lake. We also enjoyed the ability to buy wine on site (and having trust that they were good wines!) to enjoy in the gardens. The room was clean, again offering a beautiful view, cosy and warm.

A bit disappointing
When you approach the hotel for the first time it does have the wow factor, but all the fancy design work externally does not translate internally. The rooms are on the small size with very limited space for storing clothes and baggage. We paid for an upgraded room with a garden view, but unfortunately due to the design of the building, outside our room door was the staircase leading down to the honesty kitchen and breakfast area with no other doors inbetween. As such, from the room you could hear everything going on down there including the setup for breakfast at 6am. DON'T PAY FOR THE UPGRADED ROOMS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO BE WOKEN UP AT 6AM EVERY MORNING! The hotel moved us to a standard smaller room in another block which was quieter but no offer of reduced room price was offered. Also keep an eye out for breakfast, we (naively) assumed breakfast was included and no members of staff told us otherwise and that stung us €15 per person per day (absolute rip off). The majority of staff were nice and the hotel has a lot of potential. It's just been poorly executed.

Overall, still nice and not bad value for money.
It's a new style of Hotel - clean and once in the grounds very nice. Parking is on the road in a small adjacent car park so larger vehicles struggle a little. The breakfast is a little sparse... the self service coffee [none in rooms] and wine super expensive - The restaurant was a super long walk thorough the garden and into another hotel - over many flights of stairs.. so a little tough with kids. Pool is tiny. The walk on the promenade on the far side of the hotel is very nice - If in the area now I know the ropes would stay again. Gray

Great place
Excellent hotel with great service and friendly staff. Amazing views of mountains and water. Only complaint would be the early morning noise at reception desk next to our room. Would love to return stay there again.

Lovely little gem
It's such a stylish, cool space, and the setting is beautiful with great views of the lake below. The honesty kitchen is a great idea, and the concept is in keeping with the super-friendly vibe of the hotel. The team couldn't do enough for us, going way beyond to prepare a plate of food that wasn't even on the menu, just so we could have a late snack after a long trip. Lovely people, cool hotel.

Casa sull Albreo is in a great setting overlooking Lake Como - very romantic. We happened to be there on my wife's birthday and when they discovered this the staff personally delivered a wonderful little tray of wine and cheese and to our room - way above and beyond normal good service. If we travel back to Lake Como we will definitely stay there again.

We really enjoyed our stay. The people were very kind and gentle. If you stay there, don't leave before having breakfast. It is great, the coffee is very good, there is a lot of things you can eat (yogourt, cereals, pastry, quiche...) and the lady responsible of the breakfast area is very welcoming and smiling. There was also a nice lady at the front desk that was very helpful with me. We would go back there anytime and we will recommand the place. Nice view on teh lake.

INSANELY GOOD!
absolutely LOVED THIS PLACE. I want to live here!!! Great little pool, insane views of Como from the garden. Parking that was free virtually on the doorstop. Very secure, lovely staff and a path down to the Lake! nearby lots of bars and restaurants, we walked to Lecco for the day and had an awesome time here. Book it immediately, its even more beautiful than it looks!

Beautiful location and loved the modern architecture of the hotel, helpful and friendly staff. Only two things that could be improved: unable to easily control temperature in room( very warm 29 C) and unable to us gps to find hotel. Suggest hotel give directions on there website

An amazing place to stay and relax!
This is one of the best places that I have ever stayed as it offers so much more than just a comfortable hotel space. The connection of Casa sull'albero to its magnificent position overlooking Lake Como is very sensitively achieved. It is a place that understands the importance of design and the simplicity and beauty of nature is allowed to shine through. There are some magnificent trees in the grounds that enhance the 'treehouse' experience. I stayed with my two family members for 6 nights and this gave us time to gently adjust to the beauty of our surroundings and to unwind. We all enjoyed the fabulous breakfast, which was always plentiful and delicious. The Honesty Kitchen is a really nice touch and the dining space and food is superb! The staff are excellent and we received really good service from Gabriel in particular.

Brief overnight stop and heavy rain didn't spoil the visit. We were coming to Lecco to see an exhibition - Digital takes Command and chose casa sull Albero due to its close proximity. It did not disappoint and we would highly recommend a stay to anyone planning a trip to the lake area. Extremely accommodating staff and cool design met us on arrival. The honesty bar is a refreshing 24 hour accessible addition to the experience. Select a lake view room for a great vista.

Terrific, unique, modern hotel in a quiet setting close to Lake Como. Constructed using a lot of re-purposed and green materials. Only 12 well-appointed rooms, so you don't have noise from lots of other guests. Located a bit away from other restaurants, so having a very good on-premises restaurant was a big plus. Staff was accommodating and helpful.

Architect designed hotel wooded lake view grounds
Good architect designed modern boutique hotel with shaded grounds above lake with Lecco on opposite shore. Fully serviced with salt water swimming pool. exposed wood floors and furniture featured. Lecco about 20 mins. walk by the shore through old Malgrate with shops and restaurants. 15mins along main road but not the best way. Staff were attentive and obliging. Parking easy outside of hotel grounds. Breakfast, lunch and dinner to set menu but plenty of choice outside if a change is needed. We found the hotel ideal for a 7 day visit.

Well designed hotel (bed n breakfast style) in a beautiful setting. Staff was lovely, with the exception of an incident that happened with the hotel owner, who did not have a pleasant way of handling the situation. Aside from that, and the Mosquitos, it was a great stay!

Amazing hotel!
This is a beautiful modern facility in a breathtaking location. The staff was amazing. Loved the Honesty Kitchen-especially the coffee machine! Two negatives-it is VERY difficult to find; and while I understand and appreciate the stark modern decor, it would have been nice to have a chair in our room so didn't have to sit on bed or stool. If I am ever lucky enough to return to this area I will definitely stay here.
