"This is a great place to relax, but there is not a lot to do at the hotel or within walking distance. The plunge pools with villa are fantastic! Due to the tides in the area, you can only swim in the ocean at high tide, and the water has a lot of seaweed. "Lovely setting - nice touch having flowers on the bed and turn down service. The units all look inwards to the pool which was used regularly by us. At night the pool has lights and makes for a romantic swim. There was no jug to make tea or coffee or facilities to cook yet there was a fry pan, pots and dishes. Even microwave would have been useful. The restaurant wan't operational - we would have used it. Breakfast was delivered to the room daily and was good."

"Driftwood is a really chilled hotel right on the beach. We had a lovely couple of nights to end our Kenyan trip. Take this place for what it is and you'll have a great time. The staff are so friendly and the food is really nice. Enjoyed it"

And the family inside the villa didn't want to leave...We should wait the day after to enter the villa at 5 pm so we lost time...and we had 2 bedrooms and 1 kitchen in compensation. "Reception was very rude. They claimed to have not received confirmation of our booking from hotels.com and pestered us for about 24-hours to repay with our credit card or KSH. We asked them to call hotels.com but they never did, so we finally had to do so ourselves with long distance calling rates, to rectify the situation."
