“The Best Condo Ever!”

We stayed in 606 and we couldn't have been anymore pleased! Everything in the condo was newly remodeled and just perfect for us! The condo was also very comfortable and made us feel like we were in our home away from home. We highly recommend Village by the Sea, but we also know that each condo is individually owned so others may have a different experience.

“A surprise for what you pay”

This place wasn't terribly expensive so I wasn't expecting much. This turned out to be one of my greatest finds. The condo was clean and well taken care of and had a beautiful view. We were in room 427. I saw two other condos which were in just as good shape but mine was definitely the best one as fas as decor. If you are looking for a nice place to stay for on a budget, this is the place to go. When I go back to Maui I will not have to go in search of a good place to stay. I will be staying at Kauhale Makai.

If you are looking for an elegant condo with luxury apointments this isn't the place for you. If you are looking for a good value that is clean and comfortable and is on the ocean with a good view of the ocean from your balcony this is the ideal place for you. This was our second time staying in this complex and would stay again.

Our stay was amazing at Kauhale Makai!! Our room was just the right size, room 208. It was very clean, comfortable, and with a gorgeous view of palm trees and the beach just a few feet away! We walked across the way and checked out the most wonderful sunsets! The room is a bit old and had some carpet stains as well as ceiling stains and the shower was noisy but other than that, it was perfect! The pool is pretty small but still nice. The staff was incredibly friendly and gave us many helpful tips on the nearby activities and events to check out on the island! I would highly recommend others to stay here as well. Great, affordable, and very friendly staff!

“great place with a family”

wonderful place to stay. Roomm was clean and the grounds are beautiful. seeing the whales from out front of the hotel was spectacular. This is a great place to stay with a family. it made eating on the island affordable. the comments on $40 breakfasts and lunches are not a joke so being able to cook in the kitchen and at the grills made it even more enjoyable for my family. the location is great with the beaches and the closeness to restaurants and grocery stores. Take into account that this is also on the sunny side of the island so other parts may be in rain but we were always in the sun. we really enjoyed our stay and would go back

“Put your worries aside, great place to stay no mater what your needs.”

I was not really sure what to expect when we booked this place in reading the reviews and looking at pictures but it worked out just great. We stayed in a two bedroom with ocean view and the place was very comfortabe. The front desk was very helpful for any questions and the consieur was honest and helpful too. You are NOT getting what you pay for you are getting much more. Yes the building itself is older but our room was up to date and have to admit we could see in alot of other peoples windows and they all looked different but all looked very much up to date. This place was great to because they said they were booked solid and yet never had to wait for the elevator and never saw really any people we felt very much alone, very peaceful. Now we chose a condo because we expected to never be there other than to sleep. Well we spent alot of time there and loved every minute of it. Both of us felt that when we go back with out a doubt we would stay there again.
