Property is just ok, used to be great one but not anymore. Maintenance work required all around the property. Ants and lizards were in the room, proper pest control is needed to take care of this. Entertainment was good. Hotel staffs pretty helpful and pleasant. At breakfast a variety is needed, most of the days they had the same food every morning.

We have just returned from a lovely relaxing break at Tamassa. From the moment we arrived we were amazed with the wonderful service and amazing facilities at Tamassa. We visited the lovely peaceful spa with sauna and steam room every other day, we went on the included snorkleing (3 times) and glass bottom boat even spotting a turtle one day. The beach was beautiful and everything so close. The room was lovely and comfortable. We spent most of our days in the pool, spa, playing table tennis or chess. The food was lovely with loads of choice. Service was great, and staff so friendly, can't fault anything. We never thought we'd be the type to like a resort holiday but this has converted us! We've come back feeling completely refreshed and recharged. Thank you Tamassa 🙂

Perfect for our last night and staff very accommodating so we could have our room for the day before we flew home . Relaxing environment and lovely to be right on the coast . Breakfast was good with plenty of variety .

Amazing view, rooms are clean, AC works well. What stood out to me was the amazing customer service these people have. Mauritians are very respectful individuals. They didnt have rooms available for late checkout but they have a lounge where people could wait. Services are still available until you leave even if you check out early and stay at the resort while waiting for time to go to the airport. I loved my stay at Tamassa and would recommend!

First Mauritian Experience
Fantastic resort, very family friendly, safe and beautiful. Half board package was great for us, menu for lunch was a bit limited, but altogether was an excellent trip. A bit disappointed that we weren't offered the room upgrade or late checkout as GOLD VIP Guests. The resort is a bit far away from everything, but if you're planning on staying put at the resort, it's excellent.

Gorgeous hotel, friendly staff, spacious, pretty grounds, lovely pool & beach. But don't book through Expedia as the all inclusive package isn't properly all inclusive! Book with someone who gives access to Playa restaurant and keeps your AI going til 6pm on check out day! We felt like second class citizens compared to people who'd booked through other tour operators. Not the hotel's fault at all though. It's gorgeous, go there!!

Delicious cuisine with a large variety of Indian and Kreol options with touches of French cuisine. Inspiring meals that were so much more enjoyable than a standard offering of other resorts. The hotel area was very spacious, villas are located in a beautiful perfectly maintained garden. The hotel beach was also much more spacious than what I saw in the other hotels nearby. Great choice of activities to do in the resort for free without limits - water activities, gym, pétanque and other garden games. Free entrance to sauna and steam bath, definitely visit Santosha spa, it was so relaxing just to lie down next to the pool there and relax surrounded by harmony. This hotel offers excellent services for a very reasonable price compared to the other hotels in the southern part of the island. Every day, I discovered something new what the hotel offers. I definitely recommend this place to everyone who wants to enjoy relaxing vacation in a beautiful surrounding.

Staff was lovely, thank you Leena, Dilshad and Karan the chef, surrounding was perfect beautiful view, lovely beach, safe and tranquil and breakfast was lovely. The first room allocated to us was not in a letting condition, broken fire alarm, ceiling fan and bedside light, toilet smelt, the wall had blood stain from dead mosquitoes. We were transferred to another room, a bit more clean but still bad smell from the toilet and bedsheets which was torn with holes.

Way too expensive for what it is
The staff was generally great, especially the trainee Suraj. The resort has only one a la carte restaurant, clearly not enough. Sunbeds were all taken, many being reserved but not used. They have the best beach we saw in Mauritius, of which I was not at all impressed. The worst: we paid €350 per night for a standard room with a half 'all inclusive', for anything that wasn't a local drink you had to pay full price.

Top All inc Resort in South Mauritius
Stayed with my wife & friends for 12 nights. Stayed in the beach room with excellent room facilities. There were lots of activities available during the day. Swimming pools and walking on the beach were awesome. Food prepared by Mahesh Prabhu and Harjit Singh was delicious, especially fish, prawns and spiced vegetarian noodles for my wife. The trainee restaurant waiters especially Surat Samatha and Jay Mritunjay were always helpful and very attentive during our stay. Finally our big thank you to customer service managress Leena Parbatee ( smiling face lady) and Stephan Anseline, the general manager for making our stay wonderful. We will definitely return to this resort again. (Room 2073)

Wide open spaces
We had a very relaxing time just unwinding and spending time together. The south of the island is so much more wide open than the north. Tamasa was just the thing we needed!

Little bit of paradise
The property is sprawling, with numerous pools, long white-sand beach, a secluded spa area and pool - enough to occupy anyone! We stayed 9 days and that was just right. The staff really do make every effort to make you feel special.

Great 2 week holiday at Tamassa. Standard all inclusive option well worth it, beautiful setting, staff great. One small hiccup but resolved and closer attention felt thereafter. Staff could do with a little more technical understanding regards consistency of service and attention to detail but more than make up for it in willingness to please. If they can sort this it would be a truly great hotel. When refurbished would suggest 5 hotel stars not needed, it could become stupidly expensive, pompous and pretentious. It is a jewel in the Mauritius four star crown.

Excellent stay at Tamassa
OUTSTANDING customer service!! Staff extremely attentive to small details and followed up on issues raised. Excellent variety of food with a different theme each night at the main buffet restaurant. Chefs personally came and checked that food was to our satisfaction each night and even made special dishes for us and the kids. Resort had a wide variety of facilities and grounds kept beautifully clean.

Great relaxing break for 10 days with family, 5 of us with older teenagers. Tamassa excelled in every way. We even ventured out - swam with dolphins and did a biking excursion! Food was good and constant! Rooms were cleaned everyday and towels replaced. Visited 3rd-13th July - weather warm enough during the day but chilly some nights. Resort seemed fairly quiet but seemed to be getting busier as we left! The Island of Mauritius is beautiful definitely worth a visit ..Kate
