"This place is magical. While the main building (with an excellent restaurant) is stately and unique, we stayed at The Brambles in a redwood grove. Being from Santa Cruz, we’re used to redwoods, but these trees—especially the Pachyderm—are amazing. The combination of Steam Punk and farmhouse decor is whimsical and delightful. "The cottage we stayed in was very private and cozy. The bed was super comfy and nice bedding too. We asked for a second lamp so we could each read at night and they were very accommodating. The cottage is a little funky/old and didn’t seem 5 star clean, but was very comfortable for our 2 nights there. "

"My boyfriend and I came to Mendicino to relax and unwind from stressful jobs. I am a nurse and just the sound of the waves crashing was relaxing. The place was super comfortable, only add I could see being better would have been an outdoor hot tub."

"Stayed here for 2 nights with a friend for a girls trip and the home is awesome! Awesome ocean views from the living room and bedroom upstairs. The garden is the star of the show! Beautiful flowers and succulents and even an ocean view from the backyard. A beautiful spot to have a glass of wine or coffee. We had an issue with the breakers in the home and it was quickly rectified. We will be back for sure!"

"This is a new place… in the property where Blackberry Inn was located. It is 2 minutes from town and this location can’t be beat. The grounds are great, and once this place is finished, I would say it would be the best place to stay. We are ‘old’ groupies from the heritage house days, but it has changed and not for the better. Mendo Bungalows will be the ‘ place to be’. "
