Right hotel, wrong location.

Pros: Friendly hotel reception staff & multilingual. Good breakfast offering although they can't do bacon! Room was excellent, gym was OK. Needs a pool.
Cons: A swimming pool would be really good. On the food front, just some bacon that is not streaky and smoked would be nice.
Location: The real trouble is that there is nothing of interest nearby to do. You need to go into Milano (metro is about 1km from the hotel).
The hotel is really very good and suited our purpose but the locality surrounding it lets it down. It is situated on the south-east edge of the city (a metro journey in to the city centre) and only about 15 kms from the family we were visiting a bit further south. It is in a business / commercial area and in August it is pretty dead because it is so hot and all the Italians have gone off on their holidays which adds to the empty feeling. If you are visiting Milan for tourism purposes I would suggest probably only three days with an extra day for a trip to Lake Como. We visited the Duomo (cathedral), central shopping area, canal-side, San-Siro (not worth the money) and more shopping! At the hotel, we wanted a family room and got for a bargain price what was effectively a suite so our teenage son was able to stay in the lounge area (separated by sliding doors). Excellent bathroom (all marble), huge bedroom all well decorated and very tidy with minibar and TVs. The gym was a bit weak but the steam room OK. A pool would have been good.

one night business stay

Posted Apr 16, 2014
Pros: Clean and presentable, slightly older style
Cons: The dinner service was OK, but nothing special. Menu was, for me, only adequate
Location: No comment to make, stayed for business convenience.
I only arrived around 8pm, had dinner and a meeting and left the following morning. The hotel is fairly standard, but I did not feel impressed for the price. I stay in other business hotels in Italy and feel this one, whilst nothing was specifically a problem, just did nothing to warrant my coming back out of choice.
