This is the second time we stayed here. And we normally got to Missoula to visit family, and not so much doing activities outside the surrounding areas. So keep that in mind when reading this review ...
Pros:
* Walmart down the street and accessible from a non-busy street behind the hotel.
* Lots of eateries within walking distance. "The Notorious Pig BBQ" is just next to it ...
* Speaking of walking - the Bitterroot Trail passes right behind the hotel. So if you enjoy walking or biking into Missoula (including across town) and staying away from busy streets ...
* Despite being on a very busy corner (Reserve and Brooks/aka, Old US 93), noise wasn't too bad.
* For us, the location is perfect for vising family in Missoula.
* Price is decent.
* At both times here, the staff was friendly and helpful.
Cons:
* The hotel is at a corner of two very busy street. You really can't make a left turn onto either street most of the time.
* Older building, so don't expect too much.
* Not sure if this is normal, but 2nd floor side doors (as opposed to the lobby or the ends of the building) seems to be permeated with the smell of weed ... just saying.
We recommend that if you stay here, ask for rooms away from the middle of the building, where the exits are. Noisy. This time we stayed on the third floor, north east corner, room 331 (king bed). Large bathroom. Quiet.
