Very nice inn! Clean comfy room. There is a small refrigerator, microwave and coffee machine in the room which was very nice. Friendly staff. They allow dogs. There is a small grassy area in front of the room to walk a dog if needed. There is bigger field right outside of the property. They have pool and Jacuzzi (but I haven't had a chance to use it). Butterfly sanctuary is literally starts on the same property. There is a cafe at walkable distance from the property. I'll definitely come back again.

Pros- Clean rooms, nice area, TVs have good channels , working WiFi. Cons- Thin walls, you can hear people talking, no complimentary breakfast. Overall - Despite the Cons mentioned, we would still recommend it .We still had a good stay .

The front desk was very helpful and professional in dress and demeanor. The room was spacious and beds very comfortable. Booking, checking in, access, and check out were very easy. Overall, it was an excellent stay and I look forward to our next visit. The carpet needed a deep clean and the tub needed replacing. The water did not get very hot. We had noisy neighbors one night, and the light came through the blinds at night, so sleep was a little fitful. The location was ideal for beach and aquarium access. Good grocery stores nearby. I would stay here again without hesitation.

Great location for peace and relaxation.
This is a really nice place to stay. It’s quiet and peaceful. I love the location right next to the Monarch sanctuary and coastline. It’s a good value. We stayed in a junior suite.

We've stayed here several times, quiet, affordable, dog-friendly. Unfortunately, they stopped providing the free breakfast but it's not a "deal breaker." This property also houses the monarch butterfly grove, we did not see too many because it was cloudy. Property is walkable to the ocean as well.

Great stay
We stayed here so we could see the Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary early in the morning. We were greeted by a friendly informative staff member. He gave a great suggestion for dinner that night. The room was quaint and very clearn. We have a small service dog and she allowed with no issues.

Pretty pink inn
The Inn is adjacent to the Monarch sanctuary, so you can visit it several times to see the monarchs clustered or more active. The room was very neat and clean. It came equipped with microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker.

Great location, right by Monarch Butterfly Sanctuary, easy access to roads, well maintained, nice pool and jaccuzi. However, be aware that room 17 is next to the laundry room and the staff is using it all day till 5 pm, when the washer goes into spin cycle it sounds like a jet engine is revving up. However, place is quiet at night.

Overall, a 3 star. The first room's door was installed backward, (hinges on the outside), serious security issue, and door could not seal properly, air gap all around door. Ceiling fan ran constantly; no switch to turn on, off, or control speed. When I requested a different room, the staff graciously accommodated us. Hotel flyer states "breakfast", however, none was available. Clerk stated that they hadn't had breakfast available since Covid-19...??? (I don't know what that meant) I must say that the entire property was very nice, quiet and clean, and staff was courteous and pleasant. For the best part of $400 for two nights I expected a little more, and, if you say you have breakfast, make it so, or change the write-up; it is deceiving..

Quaint property right next to a butterfly preserve. Very close to everything Monterrey has to offer. Room was very spacious, clean, has a fireplace. I based my room choice on the details & picture provided. Upon my arrival the room i was given was nothing like the picture. Not even close to what was advertised. I immediately requested a different room and was charged an upgrade. The upgraded room was not much better. Smelled musty and moldy, bed was on a dusty dirty plywood homemade platform that was unfinished so it could never be properly cleaned or sanitized, upholstered furniture was dingy and worn plus the carpeted floor was uneven throughout the entire room actually causing a trip hazard. The entrance door to the room when closed you could see daylight all the way around it. The place is old and not very clean. I will say that the towels and bed linens were clean. But just not a pleasant stay.
