Nice get away.Posted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: Felt like a nice resort, lots to offer.
Cons: There were only 2 glasses in the room and four of us, otherwise it was perfect.
Location: Montery Bay Aquarium, Carmel, were both fun to check out, the weather was great, and a car show going on.
Enjoyed our stay, close to all we wanted to see and do.

Just ok. Not excellent. Felt bit overpayed.Posted Aug 13, 2014
Cons: facilities, swimming pool, furniture, remodeling of their rooms
Location: it's next to a gold course, close to monterey bay aquarium
It's is right next to the golf course. There were two outdoor small heated pool and jacuzzi and it was ok. I had two rooms booked at the last minute and paid around $350 per each room. Staff were friendly enough but everything there looked and felt old. With this type of pricing, I expected cleaner and newer facilities.. The room felt like a very nice motel but at $350 per room, I expected more.

Disappointing hotel by the golf coursePosted Aug 13, 2014
Pros: location is great
Cons: The landscaping is overgrown and is not maintained well. New paint is needed on the exterior and in guest rooms
The hotel is tired looking. It needs new paint on exterior of building and interior. Although new furnishings have been installed in the guest rooms, it does not make up for the chipped and worn wood trim around the doors, etc. Also, there are only portable air conditioning units in the rooms and the central air is not working.

The hotel was nice with very friendly staff, comfortable beds and accommodations. They even waived the usage fee for a 5 minute wait until our room was ready. The only negative was the smell and taste of the tap water.

Nice hotel centrally located in MontereyPosted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Hotel was centrally located off the freeway.
Cons: The doors slams loud unless you hold the door back and close it accordingly.
Location: We were located in the back of the hotel resort so it was easy access to the freeway.
There was mold in the bathroom and we requested to move rooms. Staff was very accommodating. Our room was in the back so its in a quiet area and its a nice brisk walk to the main building. However our new room had noisy occupants on both sides up until 11pm. When people leave their room the door automatic slams! Its loud and shakes the room. It was hard to get a good nites rest.

HATE the Non-music "Music"Posted Aug 11, 2014
Pros: Nicely-kept grounds.
Cons: 1. The so-called music in the lobby and dining area is terribly annoying. 2. The pictures in the hallways are repetitive and very cheap-looking.
Location: Nothing. Everything requires getting in the car.
The hotel has very nice grounds, fairly nice rooms and very nice staff. But the parking between about 4pm and 6am is terrible and the $25/day "resort fee" is a rip off since the tennis courts were unavailable and the exercise room is very remote. Also, the "free wi-fi" isn't really free since it is part of the resort fee and since you must pay extra for high-speed connection. Especially annoying is the background "music" in the lobby and dining area. It is a never-ending loop of chords and bass with no melody or rhythm that literally had us taking ear-plugs to breakfast after the first day. (We've stayed at at least one other Hyatt Regency hotel that does the same thing, by the way.) We might be back one day, because the rates were very fair, although we vowed several times during the stay that we would never stay there again. In short, it's ok but definitely not great and has lots of room for improvement.

Very comfortable place to stayPosted Aug 10, 2014
Very comfortable and clean place to stay. Plenty of parking spots, quiet and peaceful surroundings. Friendly crew. $20 resort fee/day was a bit too high.

NoisyPosted Aug 10, 2014
You have to pay 20 dollars each day for using the facilities which to me should be included in the rate. Mega expensive to eat and drink and soooooo noisy. No air con, just a fan 😔

OK StayPosted Aug 9, 2014
Room Ok, a little dated. Somewhat over priced and a little noisy. Somewhat difficult to get back and forth to from the downtown Monterery.
