Right Next to the Fair Grounds

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: Reasonably priced.
Cons: Dual pane windows to keep out the noise!
Location: Close driving distance to the bay, the aquarium, Fisherman's Wharf, Laguna Seca and oh yes, very close to the fairgrounds!
There was an event going on at the fairgrounds, so we got to listen to the band until they were done for the night. Room was OK, they have been remodeled not too long ago. Comfortable. Clean. Typical continental breakfast. They did not open for breakfast at the scheduled time, no big deal. There are a number of full serve restaurants nearby. Nice people. Convenient to Monterey attractions.

Just needed a bed

Posted Oct 13, 2014
Pros: Breakfast was ok, they have an attendant that was out of this world helpful.
Cons: Better bed, and weather strip the door jamb.
Title says it all, one night stay, I might as well have slept on the floor or out in the parking lot. You have heard of putting a piece of plywood under your mattress to firm it up...well I think they put it on top of the mattress. Oh and the door did not seal well, the street noise was as if the door was open. The shower was great.

Small but serviceable

Posted Oct 1, 2014
Pros: Thos facility had everything I expected to have, and needed (see above). It was clean and the service was perfect.
Cons: Parking was tight and lot dead ended at end of property. Had to do a 12 point turn to turn around when I couldn't find space, and parked on street.
Location: Was working at First Tee Open and this was close to Pebble. Allowed me an extra half hour to sleep in. Also close to shopping, easy to downtown.
This facility was quite serviceable, and comfortable, though the room was small. Bathroom was updated and workable, room furniture was a bit dated, bed was comfortable. Was pleased to have a refrigerator and microwave, and I used both. Wifi worked well, and the tv was very good. First hotel I stayed at in this area that had Comcast Sports Bay Area, so I could watch the Giants' games.

This Motel is a solid C .

Posted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: The staff were very friendly. The pool was tidy and they had a spa, which could have been a couple degrees warmer.
Cons: It needs a refresh. It feels like they've been doing a lot of band-aid repairs but it's time spend some cash and make it right.
Location: Location is pretty close to downtown. Took just a couple minutes by car to get there.
This motel is a solid C . Upon arrival it appears a bit in need of some TLC. The gentleman at the check in desk was very nice, and up beat. The room decor is definitely stuck in the '80's but tidy. The bathroom had been recently updated. There were plenty of towels, two bars of soap, shampoo, conditioner, etc. Room had a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker. Continental breakfast is fine with day old pastry but, no fruit or yogurt, they would make a waffle for you. I paid a nominal rate for a room with a king size bed. Bed was comfortable and I slept well. The Ramada Limited on Fremont is part of a row of budget motels all next door to each other. The next time I go back to Monterey, I will stay at the Marriott downtown. This place is a step above a Motel 6, and that's about right for the price. This is not a knock on the place, just an acknowledgment of what it is; a decent low budget motel.

Clean, friendly staff close to the Fairgrounds

Posted Aug 26, 2014
Pros: Location to fairgrounds. Also, room very clean. Front office staff very fiendly and helpful
OK all Hotels in Monterey are overpriced. This is no diferent but was cheaper than some of the others nearby. The room had two Queen beds and was large enough to fit me, my wife and daughter comfortably.
