It was a one night stay and it worked very well for us! The check in person was a bit rude, however, conversation with was minimal and we would stay again.

Room was spacious & clean. Was an older property, but had been refreshed. Had a bit of a funny smell & the hvac was noisy, but overall a nice place.

A++++++ accommodations
Laura who was the front desk clerk that greeted me upon my arrival Saturday morning was more than helpful! She made me feel right at home after riding all night on the Amtrak to get there. Best of all she provided me some information with the fishing show that is coming up in February and also was more than happy to reserve a room for me when I come up there for that show. I also took in a little bit of sightseeing in the Bryan /Montpelier area.

I liked the price. I didn't like that our room wasn't serviced during our stay. When we requested more towels, the front desk said they would tell housekeeping, but the towels never arrived. The pool didn't have any towels that were clean when we came. There's were noisy guests with children running the halls after 10pm. Didn't seem like the front desk cared about it. The breakfast was a nice contentinental style.

It needs work, paint, repair walls, reseal tub are. Etc. It seemed like they are in process of updating, but still had tp oay regular price. JJ Winns resteraunt on site was very good.

Much better than we expected!
The room was in great if not very new state. It appears to have been updated recently. The only downside is that the AC/heater fan was noisy and could be quieter. Also the toilet was a bit lower than the standard height. I felt like I was going to sit on the floor before hitting the seat. Otherwise the room was very nice and the bed was extremely comfortable. The pillows could have been a bit sturdier/firmer. Breakfast was good and hot. The attendant for the breakfast was very attentive and kept things filled. Ate at JJ Winns (restaurant) and it was awesome and very affordable!

Comfortable
Difficult to locate the building/check-in area. The signs are for the restaurant and Comfort Inn, but Suburban Studios is a part of that. Friendly check in. Breakfast was not well-stocked and the serving and dining areas were messy and unkempt. Comfortable bed and room was clean.

Please read this before booking your stay. If you are looking for something during the week, I think this is a great hotel. Suburban Studios and Quality Inn are in the same building. Suburban is the remodeled side. The pool was a great hit for the kids and the room was clean. However, I will never book this hotel for a Saturday night again. Unfortunately, they hosted a wedding in their facility and they are not conducive to hosting such an event. Yes, the hotel will get quiet around 11:15pm as the DJ stops at 11pm and then the guests get to their rooms. However, the evening hours consisted of my room vibrating from the music and not being able to hear anything in my room. The front desk was very apologetic and assured me that it would be quiet at 11pm. Yet, the hotel is basically a rectangular shape and the center of the rectangle is the event area. They should build a sound proof room to host these events. Again, this is a wonderful hotel, but I would ensure that they are not hosting an event before you book if you plan to travel with children or want to relax in your room for the evening.

Comfortable stay for the family
We stayed in the king suite with the pull out couch bed. The room was comfortable and seemed to be fairly well sound proofed. I mention this because my children (ages 5 and 2) were loud after spending all day in the car. No one complained about the noise and I couldn’t hear them outside the door when I picked up our dinner from downstairs. The on-site restaurant had great food! We ordered less messy food (burgers) and they were delicious! The bed was comfortable, I didn’t want to get up when it was time to leave. While there was no tub for the kids to bathe in, the shower had a decent lip to prevent the water from splashing everywhere. We didn’t get to use all of the amenities- free breakfast and pool- but the in room kitchen was helpful for keeping our snacks cold and the coffee was delicious (major help for my wife).
