Restaurant and valet staff were outstanding. Front desk couldn’t care less about our requests, even though we paid for the most expensive room. Music started blasting at 10am from the restaurant upstairs. Would not stay here again.

In situations like this, it might be helpful to provide feedback directly to the hotel management while you are still at the hotel so you can be taken care of properly. Thank you for your comments that have been passed to our general manager so she can work closely with the front desk staff so they can improve their service and attention. In regards to the restaurants music, we will look into this as we havent received any comments on this.

Black Mold on Ceiling
I checked into room 226 and it was immediately clear the room had mildew. Additionally the room had no windows, so I was unable to clear the air. I expressed my concerns to the hotel, but they refused to change rooms for me, I was even willing to take a smaller room versus a suite I paid for. I returned to the room and while in the restroom I had parts of the ceiling come down on me, which then drew my attention to the black mold on the ceiling. My one night stay was horrible and I spent part of the night with the room doors open to have some kind of fresh air. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, because of their lack of service.

We were 100% occupancy last week so I hope you understand that all rooms were occupied. So please try to understand us also, if we did have a room available, of course we wouldve moved you.

The property looks super tired , dated , the property itself is an old building very beautiful arquitectural wise but looks like they haven”t put any effort or money in maintenance. Our internet and t.v did not work during our stay even though we reported since we arrived. This property is not a 4 star place at all . .

Dear Diego,The hotel is going under a big remodeling as we speak. Being an old historic building, its sometimes difficult to have everything quickly fixed and we are putting a lot of effort in all the aspects you mention. However you failed to say that we did give you a room upgrade, or that you did not pay for some amenities that have a cost, all of this to try to make your stay more comfortable and make you happy. We are very sorry that all of our efforts were not enough, but we are certain that we do our best to be more than a 4 star property.

on check-in they could not find me in system. I arrived late, as I had notified them, early 6 am morning after first night date. Eventually figured it out. Room had no ventilation or air conditioning. Only fans. Bathtub drain did not work. Shower was a drizzle and hot water took long time to arrive. TV channels hard to figure out. No guide provided. Otherwise all else was good.

The hotel is beautifully historic. Very clean and very well-kept. In a prime location of the historic city center. I landed at 5 AM from a redeye flight and arrived at the hotel at 6 AM. The staff was able to check me in for a reasonable fee so that I can get a good nap and restful morning.

The hotel is next to Morelia Cathedral, which is in the centre of Morelia. It is very convenient to walk around. The building is historical. The staff is very friendly although some of them are difficult to communicate in English. The hotel is not cheap. But the facilities are limited, e.g. there is no fridge, no kettle, no slippers.

LOVED the location. It was across from the Cathedral, and one block from the main square. MUCH better to stay here than on the main square that is very loud until early in the morning. We had a room with a view and small balcony. Room was very large with super high ceilings. Bathrooms remodelled, spacious and very clean. Housekeeping daily kept the room very clean. Rooftop restaurant and bar had a super view, inside and outside seating, and good food, drinks and service. They were closed on Saturday night for a private party, and are not open at all on Sunday evening, so do not delay going there when you arrive in case they are closed for another private party. There is NOTHING negative to say about this property. I would stay here again and highly recommend it.

The hotel is in an old hacienda across from the cathedral. The view is amazing! I booked two rooms with king beds. I was giving two rooms with two full size bed. As a parent who do sleeps, this wasn’t very fun!

A piece of history!
Super nice historical building. It was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. Conveniently located in city centre. check-in women at front desk not welcoming, seemed bothered by our questions and pointed us to QR code for answers. However, the guys who worked lobby super friendly and happy to see us.

Right across from the Basilica many restaurants and shops walking distance. The hotel is from the colonial area , rustic tile or wood flooring, large doors and windows, but clean. We had great views of the Basilica. We were able to book a tour of Morelia through them. Excellent roof top restaurant open all day 8-11pm . Would definitely stay here again!

Lack of amenities, no ice machine no morning coffee no ac( was not needed tho the room was very cool and huge fan made it perfect) over all great location but some more amenities would have made it perfect. Like made a pool a guess roof top walking area etc

Great location in the center of Morelia. Super clean. Staff beyond friendly and helpful. Roof top restaurant with great singers entertainment and excellent waitresses service. Quiet at night. Highly recommend it for families, couples and business travel.

The location of the property is incredible. Unfortunately, the staff other than Alexandra from the restaurant "La Azotea" and our housekeeping staff member Rosita, were horrible! The front desk never offered a VIP amenity even after messaging the hotel directly. I also had to call room service on an order of coffee and toast after placing an order 45 minutes prior, only to be told they didn't know what time it would be delivered. Needless to say, I canceled the order and walked to a restaurant by the hotel to purchase it and bring it back to our room. I have stayed in many hotels in Morelia.. La Casa Grande, Hotel Casino, Hotel La Soledad and Villa Montaña. This was by far the worst Service of all. For about the same price range (property wise) I would stay at Hotel del La Soledad which has better service.The exerience was so bad I preferred losing a prepaid night and purchasing new tickets to return home because all the hotels were sold out during the Christmas break. ..
