Close to family

Posted Jan 19, 2015
Pros: location
Cons: I was hoping for a refrigerator, even a small one would have been nice, Medications needed to be kept cold. ice bucket worked, not the best for meds
Location: went to colesium for concert
Have stayed here several times as we have family in the area. Would highly recommend this hotel as it is close to several attractions. We were there for the concert at the colesium and enjoyed everything.

Attending daughters graduation

Pros: Convenient location. Microtel is a solid value, a bit minimalist on size but always adequate facilities and economical. Staff was polite.
Cons: Could have used more than 1 soap and shampoo for three guests.
Location: Convenient access right off second Morgsntown exit. Fast food and shopping mall adjacent. Short distance to downtown campus.,
Good experience. Staff was polite and helpful with parking for moving truck. Decent breakfast. Easy accesss.

Would stay again

Posted Nov 6, 2014
Nice size room. Bed slightly smaller than queen (as hotel listed). Friendly staff and warm cookies at check- in, even though we showed up very late around midnight. Continental breakfast had many food and beverage choices.

No electricity

Posted Sep 8, 2014
Pros: Comfortable bed
Cons: Someone needs to be available at all hours in case of emergencies, such as power outage.
Location: Morgantown, West Virginia - West Virginia University
We checked in 7/27/14 and checked out 7/30/14. On the evening of 7/29, we lost electricity in our room. Called front desk. They did not get back to us. My husband went down to the front desk to inform them of the power loss in our room. Nothing resolved. Next morning, I went to front desk and explained again, and was told the manager would be in soon. Went back later and told the manager, and her reaction was as if this was the first time she heard of the problem in our room. She said that the maintenance man would be in around 10:00 and she would send him up. The maintenance man came up to our floor, went into the room across the hall where the breaker boxers are located, he flipped a switch, and the electricity in our room came back on. We were 12 hours without electricity. The only thing that needed to be done was to flip a breaker switch. Very discouraging and disappointing that Microtel did NOTHING to make this right or compensate for this inconvenience.
