There are a number of natural gifts here as well, so make sure you enjoy the nearby green spaces. Enjoy the local wilderness by visiting the Kangaroo Point Cliffs. Leave the busy streets behind and soak up some sunshine in local parks and gardens such as the Brisbane Botanic Gardens and the New Farm Park.
If you are spending a while in and around Morningside, treat yourself with a visit to the St. Stephens Cathedral, Tower Mill in Spring Hill and Skyneedle. Whatever your faith, you'll appreciate the peaceful atmosphere at Morningside’s holy places like the St. Andrew's Uniting Church.
Get familiar with the local fashion and spoil yourself with a new wardrobe in the nearby shopping hotspots such as Emporium in Fortitude Valley, the Queen Street Mall and Chinatown Mall.
The area is the home turf of the Brisbane Broncos rugby league team in winter and Queensland Reds rugby union team. Both teams compete in regular games at Suncorp Stadium. If you’re not a sports fan, you can still enjoy the stadium’s fine acoustics during one of the many concerts held here.
