Beautiful Property in a Great Location
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Capurro Ranch. The property was clean and well-maintained, and the views from the property were nothing short of amazing. The location is great; secluded enough to feel private but still close to restaurants and activities. The birdwatchers in our group had plenty to get excited about. The property manager was responsive and easy to work with. Overall, I highly recommend this property.

Short, lovely visit to Moss Landing
We went to Moss Landing to kayak in the estuary and enjoy some family time. We found this house to be perfectly suited to our needs - there were ten of us (two children) plus a dog. It's a beautiful house with tons of space and more built-in storage than any of us had ever seen! The "dance studio" was our granddaughters' favorite room. Lots of kitchen amenities, many fireplaces (we only used one), beautiful views of the gardens and estuary from inside the house. It's not actually *at* the beach - I missed that small detail when booking - but it's a 2 minute drive to get there, it's close to kayaking outfitters and several casual restaurants, and only 30 minutes from the Monterey wharf. Michael was very responsive when I had questions about the property, and Frank came by and shared some of his family's history as we were checking out. We've driven past this property many times over the years without noticing it - now we all look forward to staying again.

Everything was wonderful about this home. Inside—plenty of space to spread out and wonderful spaces to be together. Great yard for dogs, beautiful landscaping. So relaxing. We will definitely be back.

The perfect family get away
This was the perfect house/property for our family gathering. Everyone, all ages, had a great time. Plenty of space, very clean, & beautiful scenery. Great location that gave you privacy, but still close to all the main attractions. Looking forward to coming back again!

The house was perfect for a friends get together. The view from the living room and dining room had us grabbing our binoculars all the time. The house was great and spread out. The beds were comfortable. We had a great time.

Great Place in Moss Landing
The house is amazing. Lots of room for my wife, grown kids and grandchild. The guest house is a nice private space. We explored Monterey, Santa Cruz and Carmel.

This is the cleanest house I have ever rented. As large as this house is, it was immaculate and beautiful! The only problem I had was the height of everything. I am only 4’11” and couldn’t reach much in the kitchen. My family very much enjoyed our stay and would like to plan another stay here, the groundscwere amazing!!!!!!

Lovely home
We enjoyed a great 3 days with two other couples. The grounds are beautiful. "Secret gardens", succulent plant gardens and paths. The views are out one direction to the slough/bay, and the other to the strawberry fields. The home sits all by itself on a spit of land between slough and strawberry fields. Very quiet and private. A bit difficult to find off Hwy 1. The home is dated, circa 1970's? Dark paneling, etc. Some upgrades - flooring, counter tops etc. However has a cozy feel. Overall we really enjoyed and recommend!

Wonderful, large secluded house
Amazing views and lots of different options for sleeping including a separate cottage with kitchenette and a large yoga room for kids to play Or dancers to dance in or Yogi’s to stretch in. all the dishes,pots, and pans needed were there. close to kayaking paddle boarding hiking and beach. No neighbors! We had a great time!

Incredible Views
If you want a house with wonderful views, beautiful gardens and room to spread out - this is the house for you! Love the mid-century design of the house and furnishings. The gardens are very hummingbird friendly. All the cactus and succulents are absolutely beautiful! We were lucky enough to see two sets of baby birds take their first flights. You can also watch sea otters and several different breeds of birds from right out of the windows. Highly recommend this property !!!

Lovely view and walk to beach.
The location and views are amazing. .45 mile flat ground walk to a private beach along side strawberry fields. Short drive to the jetty, far off the road. Electric stove was awkward to figure out but we did it. Only thing that would make it better would be a hot tub, and/or pool table and better internet (might not be possible due to location). We met the owner coming around to take garbage cans out and walk to the beach himself. We left sand toys there, our kids have outgrown them. Loved it, thank you.

Away from the crowds
Perfect get away for our family aging from 2 to seniors. Loved the hike to the beach, views of the Elkhorn Slough and the fields of strawberries behind us. Still close enough to Monterey and all it offers but away from the crowds. The house was well-equpped and a very unique property. The property manager was very accommodating for the one thing we reached out for. We would book this property again.

Long weekend family birthday celebration
There were 8 of us and one well behaved (and thrilled to be there) dog. Ages 70 - 4. Wish we could have stayed longer. Lovely home with terrific views of the Elkhorn Slough. The landscaping was very suitable to the location. The Guest House on the property was a plus. The walking trail to the ocean and a fire pit in the back yard around which we talked, sang songs and made smores were all bonuses.

Great home, well setup, quiet and private
Great property to stay at with a group of people. Highly recommend it. A bit out of the way from Monterey and Carmel where we spent most of our time, but less than a 30 minute, nice drive. Lots of parking on the property for multiple families/friends. Great private yard to hang out and spend time at. BBQ grill works great as the gas is plumbed to the main line. Never run out. Groceries and restaurants are a good 15 minutes drive, but the 2 fridges and freezers are helpful. Kitchen well stocked with necessities of pots, pans, and utentsils. bring your own knives as these won't cut tomatoes.

Amazing place - the grounds are so well kept. Beautiful landscaping with a view of the dunes and ocean to one side. The house itself is great - spacious, very clean, and everything you could need for a trip. Moss Landing is a cute little town - the kayaking in the Elkhourn slough was a great hit. Highly recommend this location.

This property is clean and well maintained. The views towards Moss Landing are breathtaking. It is also a perfect location if you want to spend time in Santa Cruz or Monterey. We are defiantly planning to book this home again!

Fabulous seclusion
We stayed here with our three toddlers and some dear friends. There was a ton of space and I loved how the bedrooms were on a separate wing so that adults could visit without fear of disturbing the kiddos. Kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans, and tools (even a kitchen aide mixer!!) short of measuring spoons but not a big deal. Due to covid there was not a lot of spices, just a few staples so bring your favs. Used the grill as well. Clear instructions for walking to the beach through the strawberry fields... roughly half a mile. An adventure but not ideal with three littles for beach time. Moss Landing beach was visible and just a quick drive onto and off highway 1. Centrally located between Santa Cruz and Monterey. We had a fabulous stay that included the Aquarium and some spent a day in SC. We would totally stay again.

We stayed here with our 1 year old daughter and my parents and sisters. It was an excellent house - great location, very private, easy access to the beach and great views. Lots of board games and activities inside the house. We loved Yardzee! Highly recommend, great value for money. We will certainly stay here again.

The property was an unexpected natural paradise for people who love the coast, shore birds, agriculture, etc. Very secluded and private. Oh, the house: it is a mid century one story delight. Very spacious, inviting, comfortable. Beautiful views of dunes, salt water wetlands, marina, state park, etc. Property is best suited for a group of 8-10

Family time
The home was gorgeous, roomy and had spectacular views. My family enjoyed the spacious home and yard. We spent a lot of time in the large kitchen cooking, eating and socializing.
