I want to share this review because after reading many of the reviews here I almost did not book this hotel and I have to say that I’m very glad I did. I think if you are an extremely picky person and everything has to be perfect then I have a feeling you may not like this property or a lot of the properties you stay at. But for folks that are looking for a pretty hotel, close to literally EVERYTHING, Bourbon is a less than a minute walk, but don’t worry, you don’t hear anything in your room. There are great restaurants right on the street, shopping, nightlife, the cable cars are right in front so you can hop on if you don’t want to walk. The room was clean and very spacious and the beds were very comfortable, minus one pillow that was a little tough. The shower pressure was amazing. The staff complied with all of our requests in a timely manner. The only thing I didn’t like was the breakfast buffet-that sucked, and the coffee was horrible, and it’s $24, which for what it is, totally not worth it. However, the restaurant did say that they share the property but don’t belong to the hotel. So, I guess in general, the hotel to me was excellent. I would definitely stay there again. Oh, and I like that at night they ask for your room key before you are let in to the hotel and this provides an added layer of security which we appreciated.

Loved the location most of all. Room thermostat didn’t seem to be working properly but temp was comfortable at 70. We would have liked 68 for sleeping. The carpet was wet around it so maybe it had just broke. The front desk was so nice and offered to move us. Valet guys were awesome! Would definitely stay there again!!!!

The location is great. The pool was closed for 3 days out of my 4 days stay for maintenance. The cleanliness of the bathroom is not great and the overall state of the room is very mediocre. The room had a a bad smell in the entry area which seemed to be from the carpet. Otherwise the location is great and tight off streetcars and lots of shops/restirants.

Great hotel! We did not feel safe venturing from the property in the evening. Room was not the same as described on expedia. It was not a walk-in shower and it didn’t include the breakfast. It was also right next to the elevators! The trip was priced right. I guess you get what you pay for!!

Beautiful property but hasn’t been kept up as it should for being a Crown Plaza hotel. The water handle in my room was faulty and went from cold to super hot because it was loose. Also had the secondary lock broken in my room so didn’t feel very safe.

The cleaning person came to my room to clean, they left only fixed one bed the other one wasn’t done and they left my room open and there was no cleaning person in site, all of me personal stuff was in there my purse and my wallet. I called the front desk and all the said was sorry

It was an OK stay however to find dirty underwear and a shirt hanging behind the bathroom door very disconcerting. The breakfast buffet at @ $25.00 and that price did not include beverages was totally uncalled for . Needs to step it up a notch

Hotel is located right at the start of Bourbon Street so be prepared for a man on the sidewalk with a sound system playing music until 3am on weekends. Questionable people like to hang out on the corner of the hotel. Security guard checks room keys after 12am so that made me feel a little safer.

The staff were friendly and responsive to a couple hiccups we had with our stay. Informational only: The infrastructure maintenance of the corner, street, sidewalks and such is minimal, in the surrounding area, which is not the responsibility of the hotel, but I was thankful I had brought good walking shoes.

One incident I had was that the box spring had not been placed right, so after walking around the bed, I was hit by a big piece of metal sticking out from the bed. Now, I have a wonderful scar that is still healing. Other than that the parking is not a far walk if you rent a car. The hotel is centric on Bourbon Street and Canal Street, so if you are looking for a quiet place, this is not the place to stay. Everything is super close, and as soon as you arrive, eat at Olde Nola. Their food will leave you speechless. It is a beautiful city. I am so happy my husband and I came here for our honeymoon. Enjoy your stay!

We arrived Friday 5/3/24 and stayed until Tuesday 5/7/24. They were full (according to the front desk) due to the Jazz Fest. The room (1344) was not at all as advertised online. It looks as if we had an old and outdated room. The entire room smelled of mold/mildew. The carpet felt damp the entire time we were there. The tub/shower combo dripped the entire time. The carpet had a nice sized stain. Location is ideal as you can literally walk within 5 minutes of most places. That was the only plus to the trip. At some point the remote to the tv stopped working and it took a while to get a replacement remote. No, we could not simply change the batteries ourselves (which we didnt mind doing) because the battery compartment required a screwdriver. Room had a mini fridge but no microwave (which is very helpful when on vacation). The restaurant downstairs served buffet style breakfast for $24/person which only includes coffee, water or unsweetened tea. Anything extra... Is extra!! And the buffet selection is very limited. Not worth the price. The breakfast hostess is also a little rude so we only ate there once and never again and would never again. All in all it was an ok stay as long as you keep your expectations low. Also, the beds were so high!!! It sits on a platform with a box spring and mattress. I had to get a running start to hop in bed each night, smh. The bed was otherwise comfortable after your hike to get in.

Had to move rooms 3 times due to AC not working. When we arrived at the first room, engineering was sent to try to fix the problem and he said it was because the vent wasn’t open, even though it clearly was. We were not able to even adjust the thermostat in the first 2 rooms we were assigned. The hallway was humid and had a nasty smell. On our last night we found some kind of bug crawling in one of the beds. The staff was nice and good about helping find another room for us when we had the AC issue, but it was an inconvenience nonetheless. The location is great, very walkable. So if you plan to be out and about most of the time, it may be worth staying at for the price.

My first night was great but when we woke up the next morning we noticed the mattress cover was dirty (disgusting) we reported to the front desk and asked to have it changed. The bed was made up without changing the disgusting mattress cover. We asked a second time to have it changed When the room was serviced only one of the beds in the room was made, we figured it was because there was a shirt left on the bed. So we moved the shirt and asked the front desk for a third time to have the mattress cover changed. The mattress cover wasn’t changed and the second bed in the room wasn’t touched This experience was totally unacceptable especially considering we brought to the front desk attention several times we were extremely disappointed in the lack of concern that given to our request and the cleanliness of our room

They didn’t clean the halls, the elevators smelled like urine, the cleaners never cleaned our room, we waited for toilet paper for HOURS, we were never stocked with the amount of towels and rags that we needed, the bed was hard as nails, the “view” was of a literal wall, the room was odd and had no dresser and no where to place our things…I could go on and on! All in all, I won’t ever be back!
