The property was very unprofessional, it was a fight that broke out while we were waiting for our room to finished get cleaned up. The carpet in the room was so dirty I had to walk in the room with shoes on

We were pleasantly surprised by the convenience and great room at this guest house in New Orleans. Teisha, The manager is so friendly and so nice. They have a lovely courtyard where you can sit out and have coffee. I will return!!!!!

The manager was amazing! She gave me a bunch of delicious off-Bourbon Street food recommendations! I loved that they had parking and locked the gate at night. It's an older hotel, but the hospitality more than makes up for that!

Extremely gracious, friendly and helpful manager. Like staying in a funky old guesthouse in Europe in 1985. The place is old, a bit weathered, and definitely not your local Best Western, but it was comfortable, surprisingly quiet, and clean enough. We loved the brick courtyard out back and the colorful decor. The manager was a total sweetheart. She recommended a Cajun place for dinner that was great and cheap. (Today's Cajun) We liked that place too. Also, the hotel is a few blocks from the French Quarter. Great location from which to explore.

Came during Mardi Gras weekend so for checkin wasn’t ready till 5 pm. Which was disappointing but overall it served its purpose quiet area bedroom was clean outdated.

We apologize for the inconvenience of not being able to check you in at approx 3pm . . We had some maintenance issues which made us unable to check you in when you arrived. My staff worked 12 hour shifts to make sure we were able to accomodate our guests instead of canceling the reservations .

I thought it was a bit overpriced for the room. It reeked of cigarettes even though their policy says no smoking. Woke up with a horrible cough and scratchy throat after sleeping in the room because of the strong smell. I felt like I slept in an ashtray. Definitely expected it to be cleaner, the lobby was extremely fresh when we walked in but the room was definitely not. We were there for only one night thankfully! Won't stay unless everything else is booked. Check in was easy and they accommodate if you can't physically be there to check in which was nice. It was good for one night. Didn't sleep that great but it was an experience at an old New Orleans original guesthouse.

All of our rooms are NON SMOKING and the previous guest who smoked in the room was CHARGED A 300 FEE for doing so . Being we were sold out during MARDI GRAS we were unable to move you to another room and truly apologize for the inconvenience .

This hotel was terrible especially since it was over 500 dollars for one night . We could not check on at 3pm after being told our room would be ready then , bugs in the bathroom , dust falling off the ceiling fans . I would never recommend this hotel .

Staff was amazing. Let us keep our luggage there before we checked in so we could walk around French Quarter. Great location 5 min away from Bourbon St but quiet to come back and sleep.

Expedia described this hotel falsely. It was in a very unsafe lication had no power people coming and going who were not staying at the hotel. Hirrible experience and Expedua refuses to refund and we dud not even stay there because of how unsafe it was. Absolutely despicable actiins on Expedia part. Do not book with Expedia!!

Be mindful of office hours
I booked this place for 3 reaaons, a place to sleep, affordable and 5-7 min walk to Bourbon Street... thats why its 5 stars plus the staff was great. Your expectations need to be realistic, its an old building and could use a good cleaning, there is no staff outside of office hours, we had no toilet paper and no one to get some from, so we had to buy some at the gaa station down the street. So if you need anything from staff get it before they are gone. No coffee in the morning and the parking lot was never locked. Other than that we enjoyed our stay. Thank you.

The concierge staff were very friendly and helpful. Otherwise the place was a mold infested nightmare. We did get the ground floor corner room so it was probably a different experience than the rooms with the balconies.

My check-in was after-hours, but it was no problem. I called to say I would be late, and they simply requested my email address to send me detailed check-in instructions. And when I finally did arrive, I had everything necessary to get on the property, into the house, and into my room for the night. They only requested that I get to the office early in the AM to complete the paperwork. Only negative was that it seems they no longer offer breakfast, and it's apparently been that way since Covid.

Got to the hotel late (after calling ahead and confirming a 2 bed unit for 4 adults with a late arrival.) We were given a single king room for 4 adults and when I called the emergency line for help she refused to do anything. Stated she didnt come in until the next morning and she "Didnt know what I wanted her to do." When I told her I wanted a place to sleep she said "I dont get in until 10 so.."

We stayed for an extended weekend and the experience was amazing! The staff were so sweet and accommodating. A few pointers to take away for this property: it is ADA accessible. While you do have to pay for parking it is onsite and secured with a gate each night (gave us a lot of peace of mind) just don’t lose the keys or the code they give you! They don’t do room service daily but if you need anything just ask! It’s also about a 10 minute walk to bourbon. Overall, it was a 10/10 for me. Loved the style of the property. Loved the staff and will be staying here again for our next trip to the area!
