Very nice hotel, but generally dark in most areas. Entering at street level into a dark space with no direction that the lobby is on the next floor was unacceptable. Service at the lovely lobby bar was not up to the standards expected at this level hotel. Very slow and not crowded. Very nice room with a great view and amenities.

I have stayed there over the years since its opening , at least 15 times. But for the last few years and since Covid,I have not , due to price mostly and to see other new hotels. The basic service was very good, definitely up a notch. Jose' , the doorman ALWAYS remembers us, which is amazing, and the whole door staff , especially is excellent. I like the jazz bar and I like the hotel lobby bar, although it has lost a little quaintness as it now is more like a nightclub at night as opposed to before, but I cannot hear it in my room on the 6th floor.

Great staff. The Lounge restaurant needs a better menu and service. Same with the dinner, service was not very welcoming. The hotel staff was great!

We had a really disappointing stay at the Soho Grand. We arrived around midnight, to be told that our (prepaid) room was not available and that they could only offer a downgraded room. Since we were in New York for our wedding anniversary, we had booked a corner room at extra cost to enjoy the added luxury of views out over the city. Instead we were given a small, sad and poky room (room 1020) with one window looking out over the trash cans. The next morning, we discussed the room with the reception and they offered a reduction in the room rate of $180 per night and some food/beverage credit. We then had breakfast in the hotel. The order was forgotten about, and arrived after some prompting 45 minutes later. They comped the breakfast. In the light of day it turned out that the room itself had a number of problems. The shower door leaked on to the bathroom floor, on our second morning there was no hot water, the bedside table had not been cleaned and was covered in a sticky mess where presumably a drink had been spilled, and the blind was ripped. The rate for the room was $640 a night before the reduction applied to reflect the forced downgrade. But it wasn’t and could never be worth anything like that. If you’re considering staying here, I’d really suggest you look elsewhere.

We always enjoy staying at the Soho Grand. It’s a great location for shopping and exploring Soho, TriBeca, and the East and West Villages. The bar is cool but often too busy to get a seat and guests don’t have priority. Lots of great restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Safe area!

Location was great. Layout was a little different with lobby on second floor. Doorman were great, when they wanted to be. They picked and chose who to greet and open doors for and when. I also didn’t find there were very many amenities in the building if any that we were made aware of. Definitely don’t think this hotel is family friendly if that’s what you’re looking for. Nights tend to be more catered to the bar / restaurant / nightlife scene. Overall it was good for what we wanted out of our stay. Not budget, but not exceptional.

We had a wonderful stay at the soho grand. This place had much better customer service than our stay at the 1 hotel Brooklyn bridge. Leídy at the front desk helped a lot and everyone in the staff here was lovely and attentive.

I had lost my ID and they were very helpful in setting up getting my passport rushed to the hotel so I could fly out the next day. In addition they helped get me a coffee to go when the restaurant was packed. Jose and Lonny at the front were always friendly and accommodating. Love this hotel and it’s staff

There was an extreme volume of music playing until 4am which made it impossible to get any sleep, followed by construction noise that started at 7am. Inadmissible for a $700 room that was not even spacious. Extremely dis considerate to guests.

Super comfortable bed and nice sized room. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Bar on the lobby level had delicious cocktails. If you’re staying soon, request higher floor to avoid some noise from repair work being done.

The room is a little small, but large for manhattan. The hotel bar was packed on the weekend with a line outside. I think all the people in line would have done better to rent a room considering the price being so reasonable. I’m looking for excuses to come back

It was a beautiful building. The King room was tiny and there was loud music playing somewhere in the hotel until 4 am on a Thursday night. I couls hear the bass on the 4th floor. Staff was amazing!

I didn't like having to wait until after the check in time to get a room. Asked for an extra robe and umbrella and 5 hours later it still wasn't there. TV didn't work. Music was so incredibly loud near check in at night, you needed to yell in order for the people who work there could hear you

Jackhammering directly outside hotel entrance constantly and almost without stopping from 7am - 6pm during weekend stay

I can’t say enough good things about our stay here! My dog Stewart and I were treated so incredibly wonderfully by all the staff there it was amazing and the dog park was beautiful! The only bad thing I can say is we should have stayed more than one night! We will be back! ❤️

The staff rivals any world-class property. Impeccable manners, attentiveness and pride in a job well done. One example: From a fair distance down the hallway, a room attendant saw me coming her way. She quickly stowed her cart behind a door, pushed the elevator button, greeted me warmly, inquired about the quality of my stay and wished me well on my travels. Front desk personnel were perfectly good natured and easy to share a laugh with. Late check-out request was met with an “absolutely!” Like most of you reading this, I only remark when hotel experiences deserve superlative appreciation. The whole experience was truly Grand!
